I began looking for help earlier this year, 2026. I had contacted a couple companies and did a Zoom…read moremeeting with Badran Tax, speaking with Amro Badran/Tom directly, roughly March. He talked with me about all the staff/experience he had, that he could help me, "no problem," and to be careful about who I work with, etc. I felt really comfortable in that moment and that they were really going to work with me on my behalf with a tax resolution. Of course, I had to pay a $2500 retainer fee to start any actions. After this, it pretty much went downhill from there and became the opposite of their motto, End Your IRS Stress.
A couple of months in, roughly June, they reached out to me about filing missing returns, which cost me another $1950 for filing three years. I had made some minor complaints about communication along the way up to this point. I would get random phone calls with no warning with them trying to contact the California tax board, needing me to be on the other line to confirm. I would post letters/communications or questions in the chat with little or no response. Any meetings we would have after the initial consultation became short and as if Tom had so much going on he had to get off the call asap.
Nevertheless, I continued working with them as I had invested quite a bit at this point, at least for me. I made the mistake in thinking everything was being taken care of behind the scenes with Badran Tax, placing more trust in them than I should have.
When the missing tax returns were filed, my agent changed to Chris Nichols. I was asked to provide some financial information, etc., which I did immediately in Tax Dome. Anytime they ever asked anything of me or needed me to provide something, I did asap. From this point on, a few months went by. No communication from Chris in the Tax Dome chat whatsoever. I was receiving letters from the IRS and CA and would post them in the chat within the same day received, still under the impression that because they weren't responding back, everything was being taken care of. I was also continuing to make small comments about the communication here and there.
Finally, this it where it all began to make me extremely suspicious and question everything. I received CP504 letters, roughly September, from the IRS and similar corresponding letters from CA. The day received, I called the office immediately, notifying that I had received the letters, and that I would like to speak with Chris asap. Two weeks went by and I got a phone call to have a meeting. Again, it was the same, explaining a few things to me, and then rushing to get off the call. I then made a long complaint in the Tax Dome chat about communication and that because of everything I needed look into working with other companies as the situation was getting out of hand. I was told not to worry, they would do better, they were aware of the IRS notices, and would get back to me.
In the end, I got to the point of LT11 notifications in October from both the IRS and corresponding CA notice. I had spoke with several other individuals at this point and it just wasn't making sense anymore. Others saying that it shouldn't have gotten to this point if working with a tax resolution service. I made the decision to stop working with them. They wanted to talk to me before I finalized everything. And for the first time in the entire process, I spoke with Chris Nichols. They basically informed me that if I wanted to work with them it would cost me more and that I had only paid a retainer. Explaining things to me that should have been when my taxes were brought into compliance earlier this year in June. Not allowing me to get into a position where I have little to no time to make a decision. I was so astounded at the conversation I just told them it was over working with them. Within five minutes of the call they sent a notification of withdrawal of their power of attorney as if I was nothing.
Maybe if my case had been more Instagram/Tiktok worthy it would have received a different type of care... I hope this review helps.
