The lot was tidy. In the front they have a covered pull through for drop off. Appointments were handled in a timely fashion. Specialist are well known for taking months, maybe I was lucky in securing a date in two weeks. They utilize electronic reminders on email and text. The lobby walk in clean as I entered. However, it is noticeably dated. The elevator operated and I took it to the second floor. The doctors waiting room had adequate seating and was tidy. Check-in efficient and wait short to first see nurse than Dr. Snider. Great exam and the doctors bed side manner fantastic! Both visits were consistently great on efficiency. They handled the prior authorization which I appreciate because insurance companies don't like paying for a drug that's pretty expensive. But they made it very easy for me. Nurse Laura Jackson is a very kind practitioner. She listens to my needs and is very professional. By the time I get to say ouch and get in my feelings we're done!!! They're also good at scheduling your appointments out for the next 6 months or more so you can get an appointment date because they fill up quickly. Again, 15 mins early, signed in and told to sit and wait. The appt yesterday was a follow up appt. No one came out. Next thing lady at Front desk says Dr is leaving. What. he has an appt (for a patient who was here 15 min early)! Who does that?! So frustrated. Dr. Barot and his team have been fantastic, so much so that I my mother, my sister, and my sister's daughter have all been there as well. And last night, my 7 year old BIPAP Resmed machine stopped working in the middle of the night. I was very concerned about not having a working machine in time, so I contacted Dr. Barot who was actually on vacation, and he made sure his team (Alex and Lois) were able to action immediately to help ensure something was found. I was able to get a replacement BIPAP machine this afternoon, even with the supply chain issues currently impacting supply. All because Dr. Barot cares about his patients. Excellent doctor, I give him my highest recommendation.

At his suggestion I also sought out wonderful/gentle massage therapy, at times as well, He also checks to make sure I am participating in my life, doing home things, and staying in touch with people. He has you fill out a range of these questions from time to time to see you are not isolating in your pain but rather having relief and living a more full life. I have had horrible choking nights awaking coughing or gagging. Awaking with nagging headaches. Due to my career, I have always woken up at about 3 or 4 am, depending on my shift. So n bed my 9 sometimes 10pm with a quick nap during the daytime. I received a referral from my PCP, which led me to the Virginia Neurology sleep specialist. My Dr. I was very informative and thorough. Enlightening me on the dangers of improper sleep and what it could cause. I appreciated the call from the office to schedule my appointments; I honestly would have let it go until the next episode. My appt was made . I was asked for my information again, which was already on the referral. This annoyed me a bit since I have Tricare and carried an insurance verification card. I use this with all of my civilian Dr's. On my breast cancer journey, recovery takes you to many appts. I can only attribute this to their scheduling or methods of billing, which I assume is not an up-to-date system. The office is conveniently located to work and home. I walked to my first appt during the day, taking time from work. True, the Chesapeake office is very much outdated and could use a complete renovation. They receptionists were friendly, greeting me upon arrival. I quickly realized this was also the lady who called me to make the appt. Once checked in, I had to apologize to her for questioning her asking for the above, which I'm still not really okay with. Anywhoo, last night was my actual sleep study at their sleep lab. Hubby has had 2 in lab studies done and my BFF also. So I kind of know what to expect. Upon arrival at 8:30, I was greeted by a nice gentleman who led me and another patient up to their lab. It was super clean and well lit. The cool air was super delightful. I was allowed to bring my pillows and blankets. I showered just before leaving home and arrived in my most comfortable PJ'S! I was not allowed to nap during the day, so basically, after work, I ran to the mall, shopped a bit, came home, and made dinner, still just sitting to eat. I brushed my teeth, grabbed my stuff, and went to this location. As I sat down on the bed, SLEEP rushed in. Next, a lady technician arrived.. I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I WAS TO SEE HER! TMI. But, after many surgeries and reconstruction, things are just a little different now. My plastic surgeon is an amazing and talented Dr, FACTS! Soooo my lady tech, I believe her name is Adrian. Please forgive me if I'm totally incorrect; I was really professional and knowledgeable about what she was about wiring me up for this to work. She kept her mask on the entire time. All those leads, she cleaned my skin and hair and pasted me so quickly and confidently. She explained each step as she worked, which calmed me down for a good rest and procedure. She checked on me after she checked the connections in their monitors' room. I was allowed to watch TV for a bit, then decided to turn it off to rest. I'm forgot to take a picture of the nice bedroom. Nerves got the best of me. Most of the night, I tossed and turned, intimated by the leads. I did sleep but not a deep sleep. I walked out of this facility by 6am, ready for coffee. All in all, this is a great place to start if you are having sleeping issues. My follow-up is in a few weeks.

Dismissed me from the practice because I said (my exact words) "That's unacceptable." in response…read moreto being told that they wanted to charge me for 200 units of Botox, only inject 155, and not allow me to keep the remaining 45 units -- over $500 worth of wasted medicine. They cited a guideline that new migraine patients should only be injected with 155 units of Botox, even though I was not new to Botox -- I had already been receiving Botox for migraines since I was a teenager, and my previous neurologists (plural!) had all already sent over clinical documentation confirming that I needed 300 units of Botox -- but Dr. Sheth wanted to both countervene all those other doctors AND charge me for unadministered medication. I've attached the letter they sent me, with my PII redacted. I strongly advise against anyone else seeking Botox for migraines treatment from Progressive Neurology, given the contempt with which Dr. Sheth treats patients as well as other doctors, plus the possibility that he's running some sort of scam with all that expensive unadmistered medication.

This is not good and unprofessional on their part ! Every time I call , they say they are working on it but when you talk to the health insurance they can't seem to reach the doctors office to get the information they need ! I would not recommend this office . Am only here bc I moved from another state and needed a neurologist and they were accepting new patients at the time . Until I got in , I was driving 8 hours one way to my old neurologist to get my Botox . They were absolutely amazing and never had an issue with getting my medications authorized on time even using my out of state insurance . Every time I call this office there is always some excuse ! Then when you complain they get rude with you ! I as the patient should not be doing their work . As I write this I have currently been sitting on the phone with the insurance company for over an hour as they tried to reach the office to which they got no response . I called the office from another phone spoke w someone who said the person who does the auths does not work in the office and she said she spoke to her yesterday and she was working on it but today there is no new information that the health insurance has . I personally think this person needs to work in office bc them working from home seems to be an issue . I believe they aren't working at home either ! They need a new employee in this position . I've been at the office for over a year , this has happened 3 times to me and when I am set up with a new neurologist I will leave ! Do not go to this office unless you're ok dealing with do your own legwork with the health insurance , pharmacy and Dr office spending days and hours on the phone . It is frustrating! I would not even give them 1 star . I have read other reviews in which people have said they are not getting the full units of their medication . This is true ! I questioned the Dr when it happened to me . My former neurologist gave me the entire amt .
