This is the correct address but the card I picked up said Kaserberga Fisk...this is the place right on the water rather than the bigger resto just behind We stayed with friends for a few days and they drove us around and about - I have never been to Skana before...so all of this was new Anyway, we ended up here for lunch...you queue, order your food - we had the fish & chips - sit yourselves down overlooking the sea and enjoy Very nice...and very popular...be aware, its not a quick stop...and the loos are behind in the main building...vertiginous staircase; be careful read more
We stopped here after a visit to the Ale's Stones. A nice walk from the park with great views along the way. We weren't very hungry so we ordered the Friterad Spatta (Fried Plaice) to share. It was fresh, crispy and not greasy. Paired it with a Kåseberga Lager which was excellent! It's self serve and there was a minor queue when we got there but the staff was quick and friendly. They also have a shop where you can buy a variety of seafood and other items. Great place for lunch with wonderful views! read more
This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat Rökt Sill a.k.a Smoked Atlantic Herring. They smoke the herring in the warehouse that is located next door. The wood being used is Alder which belongs to the birch family. According to their website, they can make about 20 different variations of the smoked herring. The shop is always well-stocked with various local delicacies, and there are a variety of different smoked fish to pick up. This is a hot spot during the summer season, and you'll have a line that may go all the way to the shoreline. That's how close you are to the Baltic Sea. My absolute favorite food here is the "Sillaburgare", which translates to Herring Burger. It is an absolute mouth-watering smoked herring burger with sweet apple/mustard dressing, onion and a lemon wedge. This is as authentic as it gets. Smoked Swedish Herring, fresh from the Baltic Sea. read more

I happened to be in the area to visit the Ales Stenar monument, completing my visit around 1 pm. So I stopped here. I ordered the fish and chips. At best, it was okay. The single piece a fish was decent but the chips were less than desirable. The tartar sauce was not good either. But the ocean view was great. There are probably better menu choices but pass on the fish and chips. read more
