By her own admission, Sarah works much more in a photojournalistic style; she focuses on telling a story through her photos, capturing moments and images that are both evocative and beautiful. I also appreciated that her portfolio was more muted and subtle with light and color. I personally find that many photographers are much too bright, even over-exposed, and I didn't want to have to worry about that. Going into the wedding planning, I knew that photography was going to be the largest single thing my wife and I were going to spend money on, so our expectations were high. Despite those high expectations, Sarah still absolutely blew us away! She was professional, communicative, and extremely easy to work with. Going in, Sarah was clear to ask us questions and get clarification for what we wanted from her. Even though she was travelling from doing a wedding the day before in another state, she was punctual, timely, and ready to go. She was perfectly unobtrusive during all the key moments of the day, yet managed to capture them beautifully. She took requests with grace, and even prompted us for photos during the reception that we were exceedingly grateful to have. She took to heart the requests we had made prior to the wedding and followed through with them with precision and care. More than anything else, I was extremely impressed with her vision and direction. Her experience spoke volumes--she was able to guide my wife and I with clarity and directness, while never pushing us or making us feel rushed. Consequently, we have an absolute abundance of really unique photos in a variety of backdrops and settings, all displaying us in our day of bliss. And with the whirlwind that is the wedding day, it has given us so much joy to look through them all again and relive all those moments. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough!

I went to James for help with getting a 54 year old photo, that has seen better days and survived two floods, restored an enhanced and bring new life to it. He looked at the photo and explained that due to its extensive damage, it might not come out as I expect. He then went step by step through what he would do as far as brightening it up and putting it through filters. Most of the faces in the photo were only half legible, so I didn't give my hopes up. When I tell you this man performed a miracle, believe me when I say that I teared up when I saw it. My grandmother, who passed away when my mother was only 11 years old, was given new breath and looked absolutely stunning and I could finally see what my family always talked about her being a natural beauty. My grandfather, who passed a few years ago, looked so young and lively and my mom and uncle were legible and I could see their young faces smiling. I didn't expect a whole lot as far as the photo restoration and enhancement, but James exceeded all expectations, including his own. His fee was very reasonable and he gave me an extra print of the photo. If anyone needs professional photos done or photo enhancement, James Ferry is the man for you. I'm still in awe of how amazing this photo turned out and I can't thank him enough. Not only did his work prove to be impeccable, but he's also a naturally friendly guy and a pleasure to talk with. If you're on the fence about choosing him, I hope this review settles your reservations. He is worth every penny and worth the wait time for the photos (which still wasn't long. It took him 3 weeks to get my photo in pristine condition). He is a master at his craft.

She puts her heart and soul into the work she does for you on your engagement photo shoot and the big day. There is constant communication leading up to the big day and never are you worried that she won't get the "perfect shot". Anna's photos are above all else, she has an eye for it. One that you cannot find around here - I dare you to try. She has done our first photo shoot when my wife and I 'came out', she shot the moment that I proposed to my wife, she did our engagement shoot and of course our recent wedding. She always has a TON of photos for you to pick from, perfectly edited, and a 'sneak peak' ready within 12hours of the shoot! Final wedding photos were delivered via email 4days after the wedding!! Name a photographer who does that?! (My cousins all waited a YEAR for their final photos with another photographer). Anna and her work is priceless.
