Now the centre concentrates on a mix between adult learning courses (something for everyone) and in the evening they run dance classes in the form of "Modern Jive" a great way to have fun, keep fit and meet new friends. It's the kind of places you could easily go to alone and feel relaxed. Quite often on a sunday the car park is a host for the ever popular car boot sales with both indoor and outdoor sites. Well worth keeping an eye on this place. Something different is always happening here.

Prices were around the same as any other Play Centre we have been too £4.25 at weekends or £3.75 mon-fri. They are very strict on time spent there you get 1.5hrs and the time you have till is placed on your receipt . The Play Area is 3 levels high and has a mixture of slides, ball pits, swings, rollers & rope bridges. Both myself and my partner enjoyed following our daughter around the area (which to us is a good indication of how good the activities are. They have a separate area for parties and a huge seating area. Cafe' is available with hot food but i didn't buy any so cannot give a review on prices. My daughter really enjoyed it and so did myself and my partner. Will visit again !

Challenge 4 Change (C4C) is a registered charity, established in 2008. They typically work with…read moreyoung people to develop their team working skills, build their confidence and improve self esteem. Corporate team building events (which is why I was here) are also run regularly, where groups ranging from office workers to professional sports clubs come and undertake various activities. C4C is managed by Chris Whiteley, a former prison officer, Rugby League professional and sports coach so was born for the job it seems. The afternoon started with a brief introductory talk as to what we should all get out of our time here, together with some thought-provoking stories of people who overcame serious physical and emotional barriers and left feeling much better about themselves when they'd completed the tasks. Hearing that a quadriplegic amputee regularly visits to do activities here, seriously brought it home to some of us that we can swallow our misgivings about our abilities and give it a go. The first part of the session saw us gather in a large side room confronted by a 'pit' of car and lorry tyres. We were instructed by C4C staff to perform a series of group challenges - these were all a great laugh and certainly warmed us up (definitely recommend wearing a couple of layers if you're here in wintertime). After some other activities on the ground level, our large group was provided with helmets and harnesses and split into two teams with one first doing the 'Leap of Faith' and the other climbing up the rope ladders to the roof space. Once you completed one challenge you'd face the other. For the Leap of Faith, we took it in turns to climb up a telegraph pole to a small platform at the top, then jump and catch a trapeze before being lowered back to the ground. You're all totally secure with ropes and pulleys - safety here is paramount. The second challenge in the roof space was an aerial assault course which circumnavigated the whole centre. Again you're fixed on to a safety rope which you pull around with you all the way. There are roughly a dozen obstacles, ranging from tight-rope walking to horizontal wall climbing to get through. Once you're all the way around and back on the ground the sense of achievement is immense. For a unique and fun experience C4C really does deliver. They tailor the day according to people's existing abilities (so don't be put off if you have things like joint problems or disabilities). Everyone (literally) threw themselves into this and the fact we were talking about it for most of the next 48 hours says a lot.

In the face of Britain's aging population crisis, two of the biggest national age related charities…read morehave merged to make Age UK. These two charities were previously known as 'Age Concern' and 'Help the Aged' This shop has been here for years! They have one entrance on Telegraph Road, and the other inside Heswall Bus Station. Somehow I would always find myself wandering in if I had missed a bus. There're all sorts of bits and bobs in here. Loads of books and DVD's, video games, clothes and children's toys. As far as Heswall's charity shops go, this one and the Banardo's around the corner are well priced. With the Heswall Oxfam selling at extortionate prices, even if they are a charity shop! Age UK is fighting a good cause, not just for the respect and wellbeing for the elderly, but to provide for them when they have nobody else. I can't imagine how lonely some of them must be, so I try and buy a little something from here whenever I pass through!

It is a place for those looking for large office/open community space to get their creative juices following in a laid back but professional environment. If you need somewhere to conduct a presentation, this is the place. If you need somewhere to hold a hackathon, this is the place. Basically it's for anyone who is looking for the room and freedom to do something they can't usually do with their colleague in the office/at home/work space that they have. It's a fantastic concept and something I feel more cities are in desperate need of! Today we had a training session and were involved in a Google Hangout meeting in the upstairs room. The room itself is vast with a large conference table and chairs, projector and small table in the corner with refreshments. Yes it's simple but that is the beauty of it. It's quiet, you won't get any interruptions or distractions, you can be focused and you really feel like your head is in the games when you're there! Sadly I can't help you out with the information in regards to reserving the areas/costs at this time but I'll make sure I update my review the next time I stop by!
