Miss Hannah is the exact kind of person that you should have working in the front. She was very kind, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was just "window shopping" to buy tires later, but she was so good and low pressure that I decided to buy them that day. Staff and service like this are the kind that make me loyal and convinced me to spend a little more than I would have getting similar tires from a wholesaler. It's all about service and peace of mind. She called later to let me know the tire was ready. As hectic and busy is it was, she must have some kind of superpower to multi task and still attend to the person in front of her. I'm new to town, so this first visit was pretty important and it was really great. Instead of a recommendation; I can say that I'm glad that I came here. I came back for install and alignment, and held off on my review until then. In addition to the nice staff up front, the guys doing the install and alignment were great! They kept me advised, gave me a few options along the way, and were super helpful. Matlock-Athens has exceeded my high expectations which were based on a few local friends recommending Matlock. The old Jeep like a primitive dune buggy with all of the personality and quirks without any pesky modern amenities or safety features. Held together mostly with bailing wire, bubble gum, and hope. I need a place like Matlock to be able to enjoy it in the summer and still be able to be able to keep it on the road! These old CJs are notoriously squirrelly and suffer from a common condition known as "death wobble." Not anymore, the alignment was reasonable and makes it a lot safer. I went with an unorthodox choice that isn't the classic tire. They ordered the Coopers for me and I'm satisfied. I recommend Matlock for the whole experience. Form, function, fit, & feel. They make a fierce cup of coffee, too, which I really appreciated at 8am.

I started the truck and there were brake warning lights all over. We did some YouTube research and tried all the methods. The first thing in each video was, if you do a brake service on these trucks, you have to put the truck in service mode. We did not...So, the method to correct this we found was to remove the battery terminals (both) for a minimum 30 mins. Reinstall, drive for (i did 35mi back to my camp site), truck in limp mode (43mi per hr). Called Joe's shop at 8:15a. The lady that I spoke to was very nice and very understanding of my situation. She called back and said Joe said to bring it and he will fix it. I went to my truck to go, started it and everything was clear. Drove to the shop to test. Worked perfectly, like they were when it was new. I thanked the nice woman in the office and praised her for he communication skills. I would recommend this shop to anyone in this area that needs automotive service or, like in my case, and emergency repair if needed. Honesty goes a long way with me and I appreciated their honesty.

Sorry to inform you Monroe Tire, the work your mechanic performed on my eclipse wasn't done…read morecorrectly. Everyone, I paid Monroe Tire for a motor mount and valve cover gasket. Soon afterwards there was issues. Took my vehicle to Midas a month later due to a significant amount of engine oil sitting on top of the motor and engine movement. They verified the work wasn't done correctly. When I called Monroe tire about the issue, the manager declared Midas was wrong. Took my car back to Monroe Tire for them to address the issues. They drove the vehicle decided all motor mounts were bad and thought best to replace all mounts. Paid for replacement of all 4 mounts, manager said he warrantied out a couple mounts still charged well over $500. Also, assured me the valve cover gasket was installed correctly. He said to resolve the issue with the oil he made an adjustment to the oil cap. The bandaid he applied didn't work. Left the shop and had drove no more than a mile and noticed the oil hand on my dash wasn't working. I've never had any issue with the hands on my dash before. Immediately turned around and went back to Monroe Tire for them to fix whatever they did wrong. The manager's attitude was on the lines of maybe I was lying. Not long afterwards felt some engine movement. Decided when it comes to repairing a vehicle, the guys at Monroe Tire have no clue what they're doing. Finally, I had to go to a reputable shop to have those issues resolved. And accept the huge sum of money I lost dealing with Monroe Tire. Just to let you guys know I'm very pleased with the shop that resolved both my issues. The valve cover gasket and mounts have been installed correctly. My engine no longer is covered in oil and no more movement.
