I really liked the fries and the hot dog was good, too. Nothing too special, but enjoyable. I tried my mom's margherita pizza, which did not seem like a true margherita, and that was less than spectacular. The cheese was not giving fresh mozzarella and it was lacking the other components of a real margherita pizza. Plus the crust was undesirable. After the round was over I decided to have lunch in the restaurant, chowder and clam cakes. The chowder was very good! The clam cakes were very bad! The special on the menu said "light and fluffy" what I got was hard and very chewy, I have never had clam cakes that bad. I asked if they were microwaved as that usually doesn't go well with seafood. I sent them back! What really bothered me is the fact that when I cook something I know if it isn't right. The cook definitely knew there was a problem with these and should have threw them in the garbage and thru on some more, it only takes minutes, instead he passed them on to a customer, not good and not expected!!! No lunch here for me anymore!!!

The course opens with three par 4s right in a row, so you'll be hitting driver right away. There is water on a few holes and the sand traps are on the harder packed side, but they're strategically placed so be careful. You can easily walk 9 in 1:15 without feeling rushed, making it a great choice for a quick pre- or post-work round.

My friend is a member, so I've played numerous times over the past two years and always have a fun time. It's one of those courses where I look forward to playing each and every hole, as there are many opportunities to score well even if your initial tee shot goes a bit off track. The indoor restaurant and special occasion room are really nice, but the locker rooms/bathrooms are in need of some TLC as they're showing their age. Note: They are *strict* on keeping your shirt tucked in at all times. It's a bit contrary to the more relaxed vibe, but it is what it is.

My only gripe is there was no place to put the extra tables we were not using, so they were constantly visible. I was a little overwhelmed by all the" rules" of the place, but understandably so. That part stressed me out. I would definately rent again but a 2 day rental instead so I could take my time cleaning up and completely enjoy the party without worrying about the time.
