Very disappointed with the chips and salsa Chips were stale the salsa wasn't even spicy tasted more like tomatoes sauce.! I order a large menudo they gave me a kids size bowl very disappointed the menudo tasted like it was made 2weeks ago had a very nasty taste.! My wife order enchiladas verdes they look pretty decent my kids order chicken tenders they look decent too but the French fries look like they came out of a Walmart great value bag they were all stuck together .the waitress don't come to ask if you need any refill pathetic and they expect a tip no way Jose It wasn't even busy so there's no reason why they couldn't come and asked us if we needed anything or refill .. On the road again. Tried this TexMex in Monahan TX. I had the Pechuga chicken. Great a solid 4. Velvet had the kids burrito. She gave it a three. The queso and hot sauce were a solid 4. Margaritas were OK service and prices were good. read more

This was a dinner stop during work travel. The service staff was super friendly and checked in on me regularly to make sure everything was going well. The menu was huge and I had trouble deciding what I wanted. I ended up being extremely happy with my choice and the servings were large! The venue was to be expected in this part of the country. My only draw back was the music was very very loud so I had to literally yell at the server to order, outside of that, great spot, great food and great prices. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. The help was very nice and the bar was open and stocked with decent tequila. We were staying at a nearby hotel and ordered takeout. It was ready quickly but gave me enough time to have a drink at the bar. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a portion of the order. . What we did get, was tasty. Just hate paying and not receiving. The tequila was $14 a shot, seemed a bit pricey for a tequila that was about 20 bucks a bottle. but, oh well. If we had gotten our entire order filled, it would have been 5 stars. read more

Wow! We found this restaurant because we were staying overnight at the Marriott Fairfield which is right next door. It's a solid restaurant in the middle of nowhere and they are serving up some very good Mexican food. Our waitress, Deya, was very friendly and helpful with recommendations from the menu choices. It's a pretty big restaurant with plenty of seating in both their bar and dining side. I ordered a beef plate with a yummy red gravy and homemade flour tortillas! Their chips were average and their red salsa was deceiving, as it looked "blah", but had some great chili spice flavor. Hubby ordered their fajita chicken plate and had zero complaints. I wasn't a big fan of their refried beans, but their Mexican rice was delicious! This is a great spot to remember whenever you're traveling in the area! read more

Beer is cold and they have a decent selection. I opted for a Shiner so it hit the spot. Service was good considering the place was busy. Confusion on seating bit we got it worked out. Love the tall tables in the bar area so that was a reauest Food was ok. The salsa had a touch of heat but not much for flavor. Can get the cilantro and onion so it'll make a decent dipper on the slightly over cook chips. I like them that way so bonus for me. I had the flautas plate but found myself looking for more chicken in the deep fried goodness. Not greasy but the first bites on either end was all tortilla. Gauc was missing salt, sour cream was good. Mexican Rice was decent but the beans needed help. Ended up mixing salsa w and salt to the beans to make it work Added on a carne asada taco with onion and cilantro but it too needed some flavor. The taco al pastor hit the mark though. Squeeze of lime and a bit of sour cream and it was the star of the meal. Didn't get the squeeze bottle of green or red salsa because the waitress didn't return to see if I needed anything like another Shiner but it is what it is. Started with the standard chips and salsa. The chips were solid and crisp but lacked flavor. The salsa was very good as had just the right amount of spice to it. I ordered a smothered beef burrito and it came with rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes and a dollop of sour cream and guacamole. I really liked the burrito and the toppings added much to the flavor. The rice and beans were pretty standard. Service was good, quick and attentive! This is a standard type restaurant on one side and a bar on the other side. The restaurant was clean. Stopped by here for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated quickly & got our food fast. My husband got a steak which he said was good. I ordered the #6 cheese enchiladas, since I'm vegetarian I thought this was a good choice. Unfortunately the sauce on the enchiladas had meat in it so I couldn't eat it since meat upsets my stomach. The tortillas were not very good, taste & texture was like they were made several days ago & just reheated on the stove top which made them hard. We spent most of our meal with no drinks as our waitress didn't come back to check on us until after my husband had finished eating. It was obvious that I had not eaten any of my food but she never even questioned it, she just brought us our check. The waitress was not busy, she was sitting at a table near the back with other employees playing on her phone. Needless to say we won't be back. read more

To-Go orders BEWARE! EVERY TIME I've gotten a Togo order from this place, something is wrong, or amiss. I ask for no pico on tacos? I only get meat and tortillas, no limes, no cilantro. Get something that comes with tortillas like the carne guisada? Sure they'll ask you what kind of tortillas you want, and you can even ask them to make sure they put some in the bag/box. But I still never get them. Food comes with rice and beans? Never get the right kind of beans or just no beans. Sorely disappointed that I can go and spend the money for supposedly good food, and just want to take it home so I can take my shoes off and eat dinner in peace, then it be wrong/messed up every. single. time. read more

I was seated after waiting for 5 minutes, after being seated I was not waited on for 15 minutes, had to snag the host and ask for a server. Was brought other people's food. When I got a server she asked if I was placing a to go order, then messed up my drink order. I asked the host if there was a problem and he said "sorry, we are busy" I thought this was the goal of a restaurant. I cannot say anything about the food because after 20 miutes plus I told the host I was leaving. May be an isolated incident but rubbed me the wrong way. read more
