Vanessa, the Activities Director, was especially amazing--she runs an outstanding activities program that truly brings joy and engagement to the residents. You can see her passion in everything she does. The atmosphere was lively, friendly, and filled with genuine care. Probably there are more health code violations. Though, I am great full for having a place to live. I am voicing this not for myself, but for the residents who are not getting the respect and care they deserve. This place is known for giving $5.00 gift card for a 5 star reviews. I may be asked to move .Who knows? I fight for the unprotected, abused and neglected. Elder care is such an unrecognized problem and it keeps getting worse.

My mother was admitted there this last April. The home is spotless and rooms as well as the bathrooms are spotless. While there I noticed Shauna who is the caregiver gave my mother Helen extra special care and attention. As my mother was suffering from dementia/ alzheimers she required 24 hour care. Shauna engaged with my mother on a daily basis . She went above and beyond in assisting my mother and her needs. Shauna would regularly call to ask if it was ok to take my mom with her to various family gatherings. She took my mom shopping , took her to the park, the lake etc. Shauna's actions allowed my brother and I to sleep at night knowing mom was in good hands. She would text me photos of my mom weekly. Smiling laughing and enjoying life. My cousin Raquel Lewis left a nasty post on here due to family disputes which have nothing to do with this wonderful business. If you read her post disregard it as a case of sour grapes that had no bearing on this business I highly recommend this home for anyone who requires 24 hour care for their loved ones.

The place was very clean, very posh. They are 3 years old and it shows. Decor is modern and classy. Michael gave us a tour. He was excellent. He was very responsive beforehand. He has you parking at the one spot in front with your name on it. They had your name printed out on the table. The whole experience was a good one. At the end, Michael gave my parents a special cake in a box. He was fantastic!

Even during times when Mom has been a bit of a challenge they have treated her with respect and consulted me with the best plan of action. They asked us who we were there to see and which room. We told them and they reviewed covid guidelines- we did have our masks on already. Masks are required in all the common areas and when walking around the facility. When you are in your loved one's room, you don't have to wear the mask. We walked through the entryway where there was a Christmas tree and decorations for the holiday. The entire assisted living facility was festive and fun. We walked past the dining area, which looked like a nice big space. There were several areas for gathering and socializing for the residents. One room had this giant puzzle in it. There is also an outside courtyard available too. They offer groups and classes and all kinds of fun things for the residents that live here. It's extremely quiet, which is nice so you can visit with your loved one. Please don't park in the resident parking along the side. There are plenty of parking spots for visitors nearby and lots of parking outside the stores in the same shopping center.

The management of this facility are only concerned about how much they can charge the inmates. If you put a family member in this facility, demand a monthly billing statement from them and check it carefully. My brother was unable to stand or walk on his own. He needed help to do everything but eat the food that he constantly complained about. Even though he was paying $10,000 a month for care, he received very little help from the staff. He had repeated severe urinary tract infections due to the lack of staff attention, to the point that he was in and out of the local hospitals repeatedly. Even though he was in the hospital, Brookdale continued to bill him for "tray service" (taking food to his room). If you don't live close to Brookdale, find another care home. If you do live close to Brookdale, don't assume that just because you are paying thousands of dollars a month that he/she will receive the care they are paying for; check on your loved one frequently. In early 2026 while in hospice care, my brother died from a severe urinary tract infection.
