From the beautiful blue details throughout the venue to the stunning bridal suite, every detail was so thoughtfully designed. My bridesmaids and I especially loved how spacious, adorable, and comfortable the bridal suite was, and my husband and I really appreciated having a space to relax and spend time together during cocktail hour. The coordination team was absolutely amazing. Malea checked in with us frequently throughout the planning process and was so helpful in bringing our vision to life. Everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, friendly, and detail-oriented, which made such a huge difference. Our wedding day went so smoothly and perfectly, and I was honestly amazed by how stress-free the entire day was. As a bride, I was able to truly enjoy every moment of my wedding day without feeling stressed, and I know that was because of how organized and attentive the entire team was. The food was also amazing! Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed dinner and how beautiful the venue was. What's not to love about Agape 1928?! My cousin had her wedding here, and the venue was absolutely beautiful! The outdoor ceremony was a little warm, so I used the wedding program to fan myself and hubs... hush, please don't tell the bride! Thankfully, the overcast rolled in and cooled things down. The indoor reception was nice and air-conditioned, with a small dance floor perfect for celebrating. This is a very cute historical building for your smaller events. My friend had her wedding for under 200 attendees here and it was lovely. The only caveat is it's next to a big street so you can hear the car noise during quiet moments. They charge around $400 to cut a wedding cake which is a little steep. read more

This was the wedding venue where my niece got married this month of March. Spring season equals spring colors and flowers. Agape was an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue that none of my family has ever been to. It has this old Spanish colonial style decoration that has been used and updated for its beautiful charm. Per request, pictures weren't allowed during the ceremony which was held in the courtyard. Once that was done, everyone moved over into the first portion of the building. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were being served until the bride and groom were done with their professional pictures. Dinner was then served and opened up in the next room where it was an intimate setting approximately 10 tables of 8 seats. No buffet line, everything was orchestrated with sit down table service. We had our wedding at Agape on 9/27/25 and it was truly the wedding of our dreams. The venue is an absolute stunner with seamless indoor/outdoor flow, a gorgeous bar, and a huge, comfortable bridal suite on-site for getting ready. I had 8 bridesmaids and we never once felt crammed for space. There's a mini kitchen, 2 spacious bedrooms, a roof top patio, plenty of lounge space and mirrors! They also have a neighboring property, The Haven, which can be used for a rehearsal dinner, a groom's suite, or overnight stays for the couple or family. Agape hosts monthly showcase events where you can see the space come to life, discover vendors, and taste a wide range of menu items. We brought our families to one of these and left with fantastic ideas for floor plans and we even hired two wonderful guitarists we discovered there. On top of these wonderful accommodations, the team at Agape is truly what makes this place special. From start to finish, the entire team was phenomenal. The staff, the service, the food, everything exceeded our expectations. The Agape team worked seamlessly with all of our vendors, which made the day flow effortlessly (a huge priority for us). Guests are still raving about how delicious the food was (we chose the tomato soup starter, family style dinner with chicken, braised short ribs, mashed potatoes and heirloom carrots) and how smooth the entire event felt. It was flawless execution from beginning to end. Working with the venue manager, Malea, throughout the planning process was such a pleasure. Her attention to detail, communication, and coordination made us feel completely taken care of. She even stopped by on our wedding day (her day off) just to say hi, which was the sweetest, most thoughtful touch. If I could do it all over again, I would choose Agape a thousand times over. They made our dream wedding a reality and we're endlessly grateful. If you're looking for a venue that combines incredible service, beautiful execution, and the loveliest people, you've found it. My husband and I got married at Agape this past May. It's no question that the venue is beautiful & our wedding day went off without a hitch. However, if you'd ask me whether I'd recommend the venue, I unfortunately would not, as the coordination/preparation leading up to our big day was a massive headache. From the beginning, there were small signs here or there that we probably should have recognized. Ex: They seemed to have forgotten they booked our initial venue tour & when we showed up were unprepared. We were given a tour by someone other than who we were scheduled to meet with (no big deal), but were limited as to what we could see since a wedding was being set up. We drove an hour to visit the venue, so we wish we would have been informed ahead of time, as we would have scheduled another day. That was a minor hiccup though and we ultimately fell in love with the venue. Below are just a few things that led to us giving 3 stars: It wasn't until after signing our contract that real problems began to pop up. From the time we booked to the time our wedding took place, we must have been bounced around to at least 5-7 different venue coordinators. Each time, it was like starting all over- one never knew where the last left off. To make matters worse, none of them seemed to know the terms of our contract and constantly kept trying to enforce new "policies". I totally get that this is a newer venue and changes will occur, but they should have a better way of organizing the terms/conditions that each client has signed. As a bride, it was so stressful constantly feeling like every month there was another wrench being thrown into our planning. You will also need to follow up with them on everything. It wasn't uncommon for me to have to send multiple emails to get a response, especially when it came to confirming whether our payments (via check to avoid extra fees) were received. The most worrisome issue was that if it wasn't for my husband & I keeping a copy of our original contract & getting responses in writing, we would have been screwed multiple times. Ex: Their booklet on what is included & which of their vendors you MUST use changed at least 3 times. Each time we were sent a new booklet and we kept having to remind the staff that that was not what we were provided when we signed. They also completely changed our contract to their "new" contract on our client portal. If I hadn't saved our 1st contract & the 1st booklet, all of the things we were guaranteed would have disappeared. I cannot emphasize enough to read your contract with this venue. They WILL change things on you & unless you have something to go back on, you will be stuck with the "new" policies. (Ex: we opted to use outside catering/outside bar... our contract allowed us to with approval, but they initially tried to say we had to use their vendors even though when we signed that wasn't a provision). The craziest thing to us was the $500 "flip fee" they charged us to hold our dinner in the courtyard. The fee does not include staff to help with flipping anything. Instead, it ultimately acts as a "deposit" for incidentals- but you don't get it back. I let this go because the venue literally forgot to charge us a security deposit, however if you are being charged a security deposit I would push back on them charging this fee, as any incidentals are already covered under the language of your contract's security deposit clause. I also was just exhausted by that point from all the other issues that had popped up. Again, the venue is gorgeous but the venue's operations need some major improvement. Going into our wedding day, I was terrified that it wasn't going to go well, as I had lost all confidence in the venue by that point. I will say that day-of, things went great and staff was very attentive. I'm sharing this with the hope that as more experience is gained, Agape will iron many of these issue out! read more

We had our daughter's wedding at Agape this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing! The meetings leading up to the wedding were helpful & fun. We loved working with Malea & the other staff. The day of was absolutely perfect...the bridal suite was so spacious & fun to have for the entire day to relax, hang out & get ready. The venue was beautiful & everything we hoped it would be...ceremony outside & reception inside was the best especially since it's January & the evenings are pretty cold. The food was wonderful! We just had our wedding here two days ago and it was just how I envisioned it to be. Our wedding was amazing and we're so glad we had Agape for our venue. Heather had been so wonderful and super responsive and all of the Agape staff had been super nice as well. All of our guests loved the venue and said that it's beautiful. Agape 1928 definitely exceeded our expectations and more. Excellent customer service and communication from staff. It is located just a few blocks from the beach so we were able to take beach photos prior to the ceremony. The best part is the bridal suite! It is the biggest bridal suite that I've seen, absolutely gorgeous, has a kitchenette, and even has a balcony! And they let the bridal party access it earlier than any of the other wedding venues nearby. It's super convenient because you can actually get your makeup done there versus having a different "getting ready" location. The building is historic but was just beautifully renovated. Agape was our dream wedding venue come true! It was the only venue that we looked at, and as soon as we walked in the courtyard, we knew it was the one. It truly has such a special atmosphere, and every detail of the venue is decorated in such a beautiful way. The best part is that you hardly have to bring in decor - it is stunning just the way it is! Our guest count was 90 and we felt like it was a perfect size. We also loved that we could spend the entire day at the venue - from getting ready in the bridal suite, to taking photos in the courtyard, to the ceremony and reception. We also used their 1928 Provisions bar service and the cocktails were SO good. Our guests could not stop raving about our signature cocktails (Mezcal Pineapple Margarita and Old Fashioned).
