We truly couldn't ask for a better place for them to grow and learn. The staff is absolutely amazing--every teacher knows our kids so well and cares for them like family. You can tell how much love and intention goes into every classroom. The chef is wonderful, and the healthy food program is such a huge plus. Our kids eat better here than they do at home most days! The Spanish immersion program has been another highlight--it's incredible to see how naturally our children are picking up new language skills. Beyond the day-to-day care, what really makes The Village special is the sense of community. When our family went through a medical event, the daycare staff and families immediately surrounded us with support. They organized a meal train, dropped off food/snacks for the hospital, offered to help with pickups, and did whatever they could to lighten our load during a difficult time. We're so grateful to have found a place that feels like an extension of our home and for all three of our children to learn, play, and thrive.

I am writing this review to send my endless gratitude for what Moppet has done for my daughter. My…read moredaughter had always been at an in-home daycare before coming to Moppet about a year ago. Her father and I have noticed such a dramatic, positive change in her. She used to cry when she was dropped off at the in-home daycare. Now, she gets excited and talks non-stop about her friends and teachers at Moppet. In the nearly two years she was at the in-home daycare, there was never a project that was brought home. Now, there is hardly a day that she does not bring home artwork or a song she has learned. Her personality has grown so much for the better in the past year and I have to believe her experiences at Moppet is a huge contributing factor! I just can't say enough about what they have done and continue to do for my daughter. Everyday I am assured of my daughter's welfare and I know she is getting the attention she was lacking with her previous daycare. All that they do is probably not recognized nearly enough. My daughter is proof of all the good that takes place there. Moppet and all of its staff should be commended for the positive difference they are making in so many children's lives of the Waunakee Community! Keep up the GREAT work Moppet! Question anything that seems off and watch the excuses fly! The things that were said to me when I raised my concerns to the owners attention I would never get away with at any job I'd be fired in an instant. There was a time when my child was being repeatedly bit and they really didn't do much to attempt the biting to stop. I was told a lot of different things but they never really followed through and then the one time he had a bite Mark on his arm they didn't know where it came from and the director told me that he bites himself all the time (I've never seen him bite himself at daycare or home, especially to the point of leaving a mark. And I had spent a decent amount of time there with surprise drop ins to see my son) not only did she admit they didn't know where it came from but then tried to blame it on my son I never even received an apology for them not watching my son properly and not knowing how he got that Mark...not to mention it was never written up either.

We pulled our daughter from this school in July, and gave notice that her final week, she would…read moreonly be attending a single day (Monday). Despite giving notice, we were fraudulently charged for a full week of daycare in her last week. Repeated requests for a refund of the four days she was no longer in attendance have gone ignored by management. I would not trust this daycare with my bank information, let alone my children.

This daycare is not organized and will tell you when you arrive they can't take your child because…read moreteachers didn't come. They are not very clean and allow sick kids. The teachers don't wash their hands enough and will leave your kid crying for hours. Never have enough staff.
