Tap into your rebellious side with After Dark Distillery’s premium-tasting, small-batch spirits reminiscent of simple times. Our spirits are made with local grains and the spent grain is given back to local farmers After Dark Distillery is home to Highland Shine. Where the flavours are not meant to be old school, but geared for sipping and cocktails. These are 24% alc. Highland Shine -Mountain Dew is our 55% old-school moonshine. Mountain Dew was a nickname for moonshine prior to prohibition. Copper Island Gin is made with local Haskap berries, orange peels, lemon grass, coriander, and lavender. A little lighter on the juniper. Very flavourful. After Dark Heatwave Vodka is infused with cayenne peppers. Makes a beautiful Caesar or adds to something sweet like pineapple, mango, peach, or grapefruit juice. After Dark Vodka is a beautiful clean spirit. It placed Silver in the 2019 Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition. Monashee Mountain Whiskies are a nice smooth bourbon-style whiskey. The regular won Gold in 2021 at the small-batch bourbon 0-10 years at the SIP awards stateside. The Cinnamous Whiskey won Platinum in the same competition.

History

Established in 2016.

Our family was in the trucking industry and decided we needed to do something else. We looked into various types of business, but distilleries in BC peaked our interest. We chose the little community of Sicamous because of its beauty, people and potential. Sicamous is the hub of the Shuswap.
