The place is a good source for quality halal meats. However, just like with any other grocery stores, costumers should be aware with product freshness, expired products and items that has sub-par quality. It may be wise to check products carefully before purchasing. The prepared foods, are often praised for being fresh, has acceptable quality and satisfactory. Plentiful street parking is available outside the store. As what I noticed the owner tries to keep the store clean, neat and organized. Some of the item prices are more affordable as compared to other well known groceries. This is where I prefer to purchase raw unshelled peanuts , so that I can cook fried garlic peanuts, and prefer to get fresh red delicious apples. Costumer service is not that preferable (a one time experience), I may describe some staff as dismissive, may lack empathy, or show no interest in solving the customer's problem, and I understand that each costumer experience may vary. Sometimes language barrier could be an issue. I've had an unfortunate experience here while recuperating from a recent surgery. After I was done purchasing some items and while I was pushing the grocery cart towards outside, a staff who is very anxious to help bring back the cart in place has forcibly pushed my cart resulting to minimal pain on my surgical site. I raised my voice at what the staff did, because of the commotion, I found out from another staff that the person who pushed my cart has language challenges, my sentiments were dismissed by the staff who informed me. "Water under the bridge". Due to minimal negative aspects, I just try to buy a handful of items to minimize unfavorable incidents, I just acquire those that I really needed which is really worth buying from this store as compared to other competitors.

My complaint has to do with a worker (Heavy set {please, no fat shaming here, just describing the person}, light skin, Jamaican woman) monitoring the checkout area in the front of the store. My mom and I have been shopping at this store for years. We came from out of state (long journey) to purchase meat and supplies for the holidays. I spent over $200 dollars on 12/21/2025. The timestamp on my payment receipt is 2:03 PM. Once I paid and my bags were packed the cashier told us that we can get a free bag of rice or a bottle of oil. I took the bags and headed out of the store. I sent my mom to get the free item. She was taking a while to come back out so I went back stood by entrance, near the cash register section looking for her. At that time the light skin Jamaican woman approached me to search my bag. I asked why. She said that she wants to see if the cashier missed checking any items. Why should that be the customer's problem and why didn't she check when I was leaving the store? I questioned the process saying that a customer should not be inconvenienced to verify if the cashier is doing her job. She took my receipt, just peered into the FOUR huge completely filled shopping bags we brought and handed the receipt back to me. While she is doing this, all the customers and people passing in front of the store were staring as though I stole merchandise. Her response to me questioning the process was to state that all customers are checked before exiting. That is false because I was not checked upon exiting the store and I also did not see other customers checked when leaving with their purchased items. This was very embarrassing and seemed targeted. I would have preferred speaking to the owner; however, they are not reachable by phone. The cameras in the store could corroborate my version of the incident. This was an embarrassing and harassing interaction. Needless to say that my mom and I will continue to visit Queens, NY to shop, however, we will shop from other stores for items needed. WE WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN!!

I mean what can I say about this store. It has been one of our go to places for almost anything…read morerelated to Bengali food for over fifteen years. When we first moved to jackson heights this and three other stores were really the most important Bengali stores around here. Now left and right more stores are popping up trying to compete against them, and some how managing to keep their heads afloat. This store had no renovations done even though they can use one badly. Had no sort of upgrades at all really. All they really did was really build a restaurant right next to their store, that is even to say if it is part of them because even I'm not 100% actuate about it just going by the name really. Going back to their store it is narrow, can get heavily crowded during the weekends, and overall difficult to move around or even stand around in. Thank god it is not smelly at all hahaha. But it is worn down and could really use some paint and some new hardware. The people are pretty friendly but half the time they are rushing you when it comes to certain time periods, by which I mean they are literally rushing the packaging and calculations as if they were closing in the next five minutes. They sometimes do one or more at the same time, I wonder if they ever messed up because of that somehow. NEVER EVER COME DURIMG THE WEEKEND OR FRIDAY NIGHTS! It is a dog house then with the people working there haha. The staff has changed and definitely it is harder to talk with them since they don't remember me or the ones that did left. They aren't condescending at least. The materials that they possess are not fresh, or at least the vegetables aren't to say the least. Small stores like these I would not go for vegetables at all. Meat, fish, mashallahs (spices), snacks, and other things they have a good amount of and are really fresh. Actually, fish are some what fresh since it has to be frozen in a packet for it to be delivered here from asia or where ever they get it from; but they do have live ones even though the choices are not that many. Their meat is delivered almost every tuesday and Friday, or from what I seen when I walked by each time. It is completely halal and very good to eat. They got goat, beef, and chicken and they have every part that you can think of. We Bengali's use every part and eat almost everything. So if you want to try Bengali food I suggest coming to this area and this store for materials.

I have eaten breakfast here but they serve more than breakfast. They have sandwiches, salads and other lunch items- and you may be able to pull something together for dinner. While shopping today, I could not help but notice product alignment. It's always about the merchandiser. The merchandiser made product awareness and availability evident. The product was beautifully placed and faced. Employees do possess great customer service skills and problem solving skills. I had a good day here, they had the right product and the right price to make an exceptional shopping experience. I only saw one item not fronted but that's just me. An improvement in fronting product is to front all product for consistency of product availability. I can't say that's a small fix but it's a major fix. Inspire more, Yelp more!
