I pulled off the road and was directed to Twisted Rod Service Station. When I arrived it was almost closing time, 4:50pm on Friday, I thought I would have to wait overnight for service or wait until Monday. I spoke to Caleb and he took a test ride, returned and told me I needed brakes. I told him that I was out of town, any way that it could be worked on tonight, I was still 5 hours away from Leland, my destination? He spoke to his manager and arranged to get the brakes so the car could be repaired that night. Caleb began to work on the wheels while waiting for the parts to arrive. Whitney worked in the office,, customer service, told me that she would remain at the shop with me until the repair was complete so I would feel comfortable, being that I was in unfamiliar territory. I had my new puppy, Brooklyn with me so the owner, forgot his name, sorry, told me that there was an animal friendly bar restaurant, Hillman's a few minutes away. I went to Hillman's for a burger. Whitney called me to update the progress. I returned to Twisted Rod after about 1 1/2 hours and my brakes had been replaced. I was able to make it to my destination that evening confidently that my brakes had been replaced, and safely. I would recommend Twisted Rod for any type of service. Their customer service was excellent, I felt welcome at the shop. They gave my dog Brooklyn a water bowl and offered me beverages. The entire staff was engaging, friendly and I felt safe and welcome during my time there. Joanne - NYC

Well sit down boys and girl and I'll tell you a sad little story. No seriously, my brother did pass, but he only owned a few things one of which was a very crappy old and falling apart Town car. There I was in Asheville, with my own car and no idea what I was going to do with this vehicle in additional everything else I had to do to just bury my brother. A old friend of mine hear about my plight and recommended this company..........."do you want to keep the car? he asked. No, I said. I just want to get rid of it. Well just tell them that and they'll take care of the rest, he said. What about DVM? The tax man? I said. Just call them, they'll take care of it, he replied." I did.........and they did. met me within 2 hours and pick upped the car and inquired to reason and after hearing it gave his condolenses.....which he didn't have to do, but it was nice. Not sure if he understood, but just took over and took the car and all the troubles I would have had unloading that piece of junk. Hated losing my brother.......didn't hate losing that car, but was glad I found R&R Wreckers....good guys and if you are ever in the Asheville/Weaverville area and need such a service.......call them..........trust me, it'll be worth it.

I drove past this business and decided to give them a chance. I spoke to Amy on the phone and explained the service I would need which would be my fluid changed out and my filter.I Was told that they do courtesy consultations and there would be no charge. I made an appointment for Friday 6/12/20 but got a phone call on Thursday from Amy asking me for my Vin number so that they can order parts. I thought that was a little strange because I was just coming in for a consultation but I figured if I wanted to get my service done there at least the parts would be ready. When I got there on Friday I walked in and Amy was in the middle of a conversation Stopped and told the man that was there she wanted to get my keys. (No greeting whatsoever) after I told her I Would have to wait for my car I was shown to a dirty waiting area. After a hour of waiting I was giving an estimate that was severely overpriced I told her to give me a second and that's where it all went wrong. AMY couldn't answer any questions for me about parts or the pricing. Then to make matters worse she try to charge me for the consultation after I was told it would be free. To this day I still don't know how much it costs because she told me in a very aggressive way OK YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT BUT DO ME A FAVOR DON'T COME BACK!! I felt sick to my stomach and couldn't believe I was being treated this way for asking questions about a service I would potentially be provided. What I really thought was telling was the fact that none of the other employees came out to assist her while I was telling her she would tear this business down and I'm going to reach out to the owners, that shows me that this behavior is something that there used to. If you want someone to tell you DON'T COME BACK to their business then you should check this place out but if you want good customer service then stay far away from here. SCAMMERS!
