Serious Concerns About Transparency and Accountability…read more I am sharing my experience and concerns regarding Orange State Towing & Recovery and its documented business connection to Ozzie's Towing & Auto in Lake City, Florida. On August 24, 2023, my fully paid-off 2015 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ RS was towed by Ozzie's Towing. My vehicle was subsequently transferred through a lien-sale process and later sold to another individual. I have serious unresolved questions regarding the notification process, towing and storage charges, public auction records, vehicle valuation, and title transfers. According to correspondence I received from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office in October 2026, Orange State Towing & Recovery began participating in the Sheriff's Office towing rotation in May 2025, after the original incident. My concerns about Orange State relate to its later acquisition of the towing business, the connections between the companies, and accountability for records and unanswered questions involving the prior operation. I have submitted documented complaints to Florida consumer protection authorities and pursued the matter through the legal system. I believe customers deserve transparency, accurate documentation, fair treatment, and a meaningful opportunity to resolve disputes, particularly when a vehicle can be permanently lost through a towing lien. Based on my experience trying to obtain answers and accountability, I cannot recommend this business without serious reservations.

We still had several hundred miles left ahead of us on a Sunday evening. Lewis Murray Tire appeared closed, but we decided to give them a quick call (the signs said 24/7 service) and were connected to the nicest woman who promised to get someone down to the shop within the hour. She personally arrived with David who got our tire patched and helped us get on our way safely. Probably a little pricy for the late night service but worth every penny to avoid getting the donut spare put on by AAA! We could not be more grateful for their kindness and help in what could have been a huge headache. Highly recommend!
