A while back I called A&A Mechanical to service my Generac generator. I called Generac directly as…read morethe home I bought this year came with a large generator. I have never had a generator before and didn't know what needed to be done on it. They gave me a list of companies that service their generators near my home, and A&A was a company within my town. I called and scheduled an appointment with them in a few days. What was great was that I found out from them, that they used to service the generator for the old owner of my house. They came, performed service on the generator and set it up so I get it serviced once a year. Technician was friendly and explained to me how my generator worked, how it would test the system every week, pretty much gave me a lot of useful info. I am very glad I did get it service because two weeks later, my area lost power for an entire day. Seems some squirrel(s) messed around a nearby electrical substation. Immediately my generator kicked in... and it's an amazing generator powered my entire home! I so could have used this when I lived in Miami during hurricane season! If I didn't get it serviced, I would have been without power and I would have lost a stand alone freezer and a refrigerators worth of food... so I saved a lot of money! If you have a generator, get regular service.... and get it from A&A! Seems also per the website they also do work in plumbing, heating and A/C... so something to keep in mind too.

I would not recommend Area Energy to nobody! Our propane heater broke in the worst part of winter…read moreso landlord hired them to fix it. They said that they couldn't find the parts to fix the heater so they told the landlord that a new heater was needed. Landlord trusted them to pick out and purchase the new heater. They ended up picking out the same brand heater so tell me why would they pick the SAME ONE when they were having troubles finding parts to fix the last one? Just doesn't make sense!! But finally 2 months later, we received our new heater. Techs came out and installed it and lit it. Then realized that the heater they purchased was a natural gas heater and we had propane!!!!! They lit a natural gas heater on our propane line!!!! When this happened, the front glass broke! Picture is below!!! Then we had to wait another 6 weeks for them to get the conversion kit ordered and installed. When they lit the heater for the second time, it started making LOUD whistling noises and ticking and banging noises. The whistling noises were SO LOUD that it woke me and my husband up at all hours of the night. My husband started missing work because he wasn't getting enough sleep at night because this heater was so loud. We called them ago and finally the owner Jeff came out this time to try and fix the heater. He told us that there was nothing he could do about it so now we are just stuck with this "brand new" heater that is EXTREMELY LOUD. I believe when they lit the natural gas heater and n our propane line, before they realized that it needed a conversation kit, that it not only cracked the outside of the heater but it messed something up on the inside too. And because this was THERE FAULT, they aren't taking responsibility for there mess up because then they would have to buy another new propane heater which would cost them $2,000. I would NEVER recommend Area Energy in Sidney Ohio. I also put a bad review on there page but it was quickly removed. (Go figure, right)
