This company completely failed to deliver on their promises. I was told upfront that dumpster swaps could be done the same day as long as I called before 4 PM. When I called to schedule the swap, they suddenly changed their story and claimed it would take 1-2 days. I had an out‑of‑town crew on site costing me $3,000 per day, and there was no chance they were going to sit around for days waiting because this company couldn't honor their own commitments. They also advertise themselves as a "small family-owned dumpster rental company," but in reality they operate as a broker. That lack of transparency shows in their service. This was my first experience ever using a dumpster service. It was not at all what I imagined I guess. I'd like to share my experience unbiased as I'm really not sure how other dumpster companies operate and I'm not sure if they're all like this or what. First, I put in a request online for a quote and availability. I did this with three different dumpster companies. Afforadble Dumpsters called me within 5 minutes of the request. I heard back from another company 2 hours later, and the third company I never heard back from. So I went with Affordable Dumpsters GR because they were quick and had availability. Second, after booking the drop off date, I did not receive any sort of communication. I honestly thought I may have been scammed. The day of the drop off comes, and I still heard absolutely nothing from the company. I had no idea when it would be dropped off or if I was still even scheduled. So I called them. They called their driver and then let me know he was planning to drop it off that day. He came 20 minutes later. Third, after we were done with the dumpster, I emailed, I called, and I texted to let them know we needed it picked up. I tried each form of communicaton because I again did not receive any confirmations that they received my pick up request. I did not hear from them. Finally, I received an email that they'd be picking it up in the next few days. (we used the dumpster the day it was dropped off and requested pick up next day. They allow an automatic 3 days.) My situation was that we needed the dumpster the day we were moving out to throw out a few things left over that were not moving into a new house with us. Then we moved. We had filled the 10 yd dumpster up barely half way. We seriously only had a few items. I still have no idea when the dumpster was picked up. I received an email that we went over our weight on the dumpster by $3.80. I have no idea again when they picked it up so I do not know if other people threw things away in there or what. This is why I tried so hard to have them just pick the thing up because we were not going to be living there anymore to watch the dumpster and make sure strangers didn't use it. This company has zero communication put in place for customers. They tell you "we can drop it off whenever, within the next 3 days. BUT if you have anything blocking our drop off zone then we will fine you hundreds of dollars". They also say "we can pick it up whenever we want, and if something is blocking our pick up, we can fine you hundreds of dollars". My anxiety working with this company was insane. It was a guessing game the entire time and somehow you also feel that they are scamming you and that no matter what you do they will find a way to fine you or add charges to your order. I still was never notified of the date or time the dumpster was picked up. Just that we exceeded weight limit (with a half empty dumpster). I cannot imagine what the extra charges would have been if we actually used the dumpster to its entirety. We did not throw away anything heavy or excessively heavy. I have no idea what other dumpster companies offer, what their communication is like, or what their pricing is. I highly recommend reading all reviews before deciding what company to go with. This company has a lot to work on as far as coordination with customers goes and offering live updates of expected pick up and drop off days and times. read more

This company apparently does not communicate with their pick up crews about an exact time when they are set to pick up your dumpster. I asked for a Monday pick up date which was confirmed upon purchase of the dumpster rental but it was never picked up. On Tuesday I called in to see what was up and they said they were running behind. they then tried picking it a few hours later when I had a client blocking the dumpster and then was charged an additional 250 for their lack of communication. This is not a small organized company they are a broker. I would strongly advise that you support a local business. read more

Affordable MY ASS!! They charge you with no working for the most random mistakes. We asked them to pick up our dumpster on Monday because we had roofers coming Tuesday. They the texted back that they'd pick it up in 1 day up to a week later. So after Monday I texted and asked for them to reschedule the pickup for Thursday and they ignored my text all morning and then texted me that they can't stop the truck if it's already out. I got absolutely no text or warning before the truck was going to pick it up. Then charged us $250 because the roofers were here and it was in their way. They didn't even come to the door to see if we could move stuff. I'm honestly so mad and wish we would have went with another company. Do not rent a dumpster here. Affordable Dumpsters was exactly as advertised - affordable. Showed up on time and dropped off a 20 yard dumpster in my driveway. It was ugly, but what dumpster isn't? Pick up required a couple messages back and forth but in the end I got rid of those old things I had lying around and didn't pay a tonnne. Would use again, but hopefully I don't need another for a while. read more
