Extremely disappointed with the customer service and communication from A+ Concrete…read more We had our outdoor patio flooring installed by A+ Concrete, and within a month of the installation, the product began coming up and deteriorating. We contacted the company several times to address the issue, but getting a response was extremely difficult. Once we finally did hear back, we were told multiple times that someone would come out to inspect or address the problem, but they repeatedly did not show up. We spent approximately three months trying to get someone to come out, with very little communication or follow-through. At this point, we have given up trying to get the issue resolved and are paying another company to redo the flooring. The most frustrating part isn't even that we had a problem with the product--problems can happen with any project. It's how the problem was handled afterward. Good customer service means responding to your customer, communicating honestly, and following through when you say you're going to show up. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with A+ Concrete. The photos attached show the condition of the flooring shortly after installation. Based on our experience, we would not use this company again.

Cliff's Notes version of How to Alienate and Lose Potential Landscaping Customers with High…read moreFive-Figure Budgets: 1. Take weeks and weeks to provide landscaping estimates 2. Refuse to itemize 3. Conveniently 'forget' to include major items and when reminded to list them, repeat the mantra 'We'll just do a change order later and put it in.' Sequel: How to Alienate and Lose Lawn Maintenance Customers: 1. After reliable crew personnel are fired, hire staff who sit in their vehicle for twice the time it normally takes to do the yard so when customers complain that the backyard hasn't been mowed, the owner sends you a GPS printout with the date/time the crew was parked at the house. 2. Go to the house to see where the crew, when requested to trim back two expensive flowering trees, pulled up entire trees and then refuse to replace or reimburse for the debacle. Oh, and laugh because the crew's idea of replacing the trees consisted of sticking in cheap plastic solar globe lights that don't work. (No, James, planted plastic will not miraculously sprout into a camellia or a bouganvillea. But you go on back to your Cracker Barrel job and be happy.) 3. Allow crews to throw large bags of leaves over the back of fences instead of carting them out. 4. Instruct crews to set mowers higher to increase the number of service calls and payments. And that, Ladies and Gents is how you thoroughly bollocks up a reputation burnished at the altar of Angie's List. Go thou and find a different company than this one.

Thank you for your response. I understand that you disagree with portions of my review, but I want…read moreto clarify a few points from my perspective. While my fiancé's name is on the contract, my name is only name on the property, mortgage, and checking account used to pay for the project. I was also present throughout the process and directly involved in decisions and communications. My review was never intended to dispute what was written in the contract. My concern is that some important items were not clearly discussed during the estimate process. Specifically, we were told that the sprinkler system "wouldn't be a problem," yet later learned that relocation of sprinklers was our responsibility. My hope is simply that future customers are made aware of this requirement upfront so they can plan accordingly. Regarding the sprinkler repairs, I was present when the third pipe was repaired after dark. While I understand your records may reflect otherwise, no assistance was provided at that time in the dark. Likewise, we did verbally request cancellation by phone and were told that we wouldn't receiver or non refundable 50% deposit back, though we were offered the alternative of proceeding with a shorter fence. Another concern was access to the yard. I understand construction requires equipment, but we were never informed that a truck and trailer would be driven through our yard. In my opinion, customers should be given advance notice and asked for permission when heavy equipment will be used in areas outside the fence line, especially when there are alternative methods available. As for the April 1 quality-control visit, no one was home, so concerns such as rough cuts, missing nails, and rust on portions of the fence were not discussed. These are issues that should have been seen by your employe doing their quality check. Those issues are relatively minor and not worth reopening the project over, which is why they were never submitted as a formal warranty request. My review was never about debating contracts or BBB procedures. It was simply to share our experience and encourage greater transparency during estimates, better communication regarding equipment access, and more attention to detail during installation. We own other properties that will require fencing in the future, and had this experience been handled with more care and communication, I would have gladly chosen Major League Fence again. I genuinely hope these comments are taken as constructive feedback to help improve future customer experiences.
