I've had accounts at this location for decades. Starting with Compass Bank, recently taken over by…read moreBBVA and now it's part of PNC Bank (of Pittsburgh). My business here is coming to an end. The staff at Compass was always trying to get me in a room and grill me about my vast assets, lol. They played tricks, like making it difficult to open a CD at an advertised rate, or renewing one and changing the term (needed a "wet signature"). Or, if you came in for a chat, they would bump the money market rate up but it would drop back down in a couple months. When it became BBVA, there were no real differences. Account numbers were the same. The Compass Bank checks were still good, because the routing number worked. The old ATM card worked, although a replacement eventually came out. Lock box fees doubled, so I took that business down the street. No other problems, to speak of. BUT this week, BBVA became part of PNC. All of my account numbers and routing numbers have changed. I have a new debit / ATM card. Never wanted a debit card, but Compass came up with the bright idea of adding a service fee for just a plain ATM card. My checking account has become a "virtual wallet". If has features that I don't need (or want). And, my paper statements will cost me $3 a month. Anyway, I've been going through the motions of updating all direct deposits and ACH transfers (auto drafts) for utility bill payments and such. What a pain! My current debit / ATM card was supposed to still be okay to use, or I could activate the new card by using it at the ATM. I read on Nextdoor that other folks weren't having any luck. I tried my BBVA and PNC cards this afternoon at the ATM. Neither of the cards work. Thanks a lot, PNC. The updated ATM screen also has text so big that it can be read from across the street. No secrets here. If you pass this bank during business hours, you will see lots of cars in the parking lot. There are many unhappy people in the lobby. I hope they have accounts at a bank down the street that aren't so messed up. I'm changing my direct deposits and bill payments to the account at the bank down the street. Then, I can close my new PNC accounts.

Two out of three times I called customer service they hung up on me and my request was relatively easy. The mailing address on my bank statement wasn't similar to the one I had on my account and asked that to be resolved and after waiting for long time on hold, they hung up on me. They can respectfully say they can't do that. No need to be disrespectful. Worst bank ever! I regret opening an account in PNC.

I have no doubt that someone at this branch received a bonus or quota when they convinced me to open an account with them. I was told they would honor the published $400 incentive to open an account once I met the incentive criteria. However, It's a bait and switch or fraud to offer an incentive and then not honor....I have never received the $400 incentive even though I have already met the criteria. have made over 6 phone calls, sent numerous emails, inquired in-person, etc and I'm still waiting for that promised $400 to be deposited not to even mention the 4% interest I've been missing out on this $400!!! Linda (mgr) convinced me to move my banking to this location and promised me that I will receive the $400 incentive to open an account as published once I met the incentive criteria. So, I opened an account May 1st, 2023 after Linda convinced me to do so, and I met the criteria to earn the $400 in June 2023. IT'S NOW OCTOBER 2023 AND I HAVE YET TO SEE THE $400 INCENTIVE DEPOSITED INTO MY ACCOUNT. LINDA HAS BLOWN ME OFF, NOT RESPONDED TO REQUESTS FOR HER TO CALL ME, FAILS TO MONITOR THE ISSUE, USES EXCUSES OF SHORT ON PERSONNEL, ETC ETC. THEN ON 10/5/23, LINDA VERBALLY TELLS ME THEY DROPPED THE BALL BUT I WILL SEE THE DEPOSIT BY 10/9/22. IT's NOW 10/15/23 AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THIS DEPOSIT. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE........VERY SHADY OPERATIONS!!!!!!
