I went to get my nails done for my wedding and it was a nightmare. I asked for a simple thin white tipped french manicure and received the thickest white tipped french manicure I've ever seen with tiny bubbles on my nails. I went back the next day to another nail artist at the same salon, to get another manicure to hopefully get them fixed, it took 2.5 hours for them to grind down the acrylic and "fix" them and it was worse than the day before.. extremely disappointing. Their fake infusions are just plain criminal. All are hundreds of dollars, and are complete frauds even by their own descriptions. For instance the "no more migraine" infusion is described to "prevent and alleviate migraines", while at the same time saying at the bottom of the sheet in fine print "not intended to treat or prevent any disease". Beware! Does not honor prices as posted on website and everyone freaks out if you complain. Charged me over double the advertised price. I didn't catch it at the time I paid (had way too many things on my mind). When I realized it (same day but had left the salon) I called them. I also said I was not satisfied with the service because after checking it in mirror at home I realized the color didn't take. I was told that their website states stylists can charge whatever they want and that prices are ballpark prices. [charging over double is not a ballpark price] When I posted a negative review on their Facebook page I was bombarded with messages from them on Facebook and on my phone in text messages. Stylist said she refunded all my money. I told her I didn't want a full refund I only wanted to them to honor the website price. I haven't seen any refund come through. Stylist sent me a message (by mistake) calling me a b**** in one text message, but then texted saying that the message was meant for someone else. Then in another text she said hate was being spewed and feelings were hurt and someone cried. I told her to stop texting me and blocked her number. I also removed the negative review on Facebook so they would stop there as well. This definitely was NOT a pleasant spa experience. read more

Wow, I am really shocked reading some of the negative reviews. Only because I have been going to this salon for approximately 6 months now and I have NEVER-EVER had an issue with any of the staff. In fact, the girls in the reception area are always smiling and friendly. Although I do walk in there with a good attitude, joking, etc I had been looking FOREVER for a decent hairstylist and found a GREAT one! Amanda does exactly what I want her to do, not what she wants to do. She also gives the absolute best mani/pedi! My friend and I brought our 5 year old daughters in for a "Mother daughter" princess Mani and Pedi. The salon was beautiful, the nail tech was sweet and was wonderful and patient with the children especially when they couldn't make up their minds when it came to the choice in color(s). However the end result was horrible. After the salon, we got lunch, came home and when my daughter ran with excitement to show daddy her nails, the polish had rubbed off. For 42 dollars, I expected the polish to last. I asked the nail tech how long it would hold up and she said "1 week". Maybe that should be changed to 1 hour. I expected better for the price and will never come back. 42 bucks is a lot of money for a child's mani and pedi. * I should add, my friend got her nails and toes done but the time constraint I passed on getting mine done. I was glad I did especially knowing my friend spent 100++ dollars on her nails and they looked awful too. read more

I purchased a gift card and I called to see what my balance was and they told me so I made an appt for a pedicure and when I went to check out they told me my gift card has expired but when they looked up my balance they could tell me that I did have a balance so I'm assuming it's ok to use. The card which I still have doesn't have an expiration date on it . Needless to say they didn't honor my gift card so I'm out that money and will never buy a gift card again from them. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. My husband bought me gift certificate for Christmas, about $400 worth. I wanted the works! The place is absolutely beautiful inside, but customer service fails miserably. Fist I got a facial and body massage. The lady, had a forgein accent continually asked me if I wanted to go on a diet, and commented that in her country, a tattoo meant a person was in prison. She told me about her personal life and on she's in her second marriage. Next I got a manicure:pedicure. The manicurist complained that the lady who did my facial and massage took too much time and messed up her schedule. When she did my pedicure, she said I didn't need a foot massage because I just got one with my last massage and the lady messed her schedules up. She then proceeded to ask me if I've ever been to that location because she had a lady write a bad check to her once, and I looked familiar. Next I went for my hair appointment. Got a great cut and color, except the lady that styled my hair smiled not once, and had her young son also in the chair next to me spinning around in circles. Finally the hair stylist told him to stop or he'll get it. Then the child's father showed up. The father asked in front of me "how many of those you got left", and she replied" this is my last one". Nice! It was the worst 4.5 hours! I tried for two weeks to reach the Spa director. She was on vacation. Finally she offered to do a complimentary back facial for all my troubles. I declined. I just wanted to let her know it was a shame that whomever owns that company is probably loosing business. I would never return and I was sure I'm not the only one. The spa director further explained that the lady doing my facial and massage didn't mean to be so negative, she has a good heart. She also explained that the manicurist and hair stylist she could not speak for, they are independent contractors of the Spa, and I'd have to contact them. Worse ever, stay away. read more

There were some issues with the massage which I attempted to address with the spa manager. She indicated she would get back with me after she spoke with the message therapist. I waited and called several times and realized she had no intention of calling me back. I opted out to speak with one of the owners. I was told she would call me back in about 1/2 an hour after her meeting. A day later, no callback from her either. Not sure what happened between my initial call and no callbacks from either the manager or owner. I asked my gift giver not to use this spa again. I've been getting my nails done by Staci for many years. She is very talented and very good! I've never had a issue with lifting or anything. I've never felt rushed during an appointment, it's always relaxing and fun! She has a great personality and is always friendly. I recently slammed my finger in a door so hard it cracked my entire nail right down the middle, it was scary. I didn't know what to do. Wear a bandaid for 8+ months until it grew out? But, Staci saved my nail! No more bandaid no pain and you can't even tell I broke it. She rocks!! Even though I've been getting my nails done for years, I just recently got a couple pedicures from Staci. WOW amazing why did I wait so long?! She's the best you won't be disappointed. read more

I come to Affinity to see Casey and I love her!!! Affinity is pretty nice and I haven't had any problems with the staff. My two problems with Affinity are the music (which is never consistent) and the fact that they dont have free wi-fi. The music is usually oldies which i don't really think fits with the image of the salon. I feel the same about the wi-fi, it is rare these days to go to an up-to-date business that doesn't offer free wi-fi. Especially when you are there for a couple of hours. read more

Went to this salon for a brazilian blowout. I have very frizzy curly hair and heard this treatment could work miracles. Told them I wanted it as straight as possible. After the treatment my hair was blown dry. It was still very frizzy and I chalked it up to the blow dryer (I have never been able to blow dry my hair). The way the stylist avoided talking about it made me nervous. I waited 2 days to wash and once I did, I did put product in it and let it air dry. My hair is now MORE frizzy than before..... but now it looks greasy as well. It is also not any straighter. Also, every time I wash it my scalp around the base of my head feels like it is on fire. I googled reasons why the treatment might not have taken and read that they are supposed to go over your hair at least five times with the flat iron... More if you want straight hair. The lady went over my hair once, maybe twice per strand. I am very sorry I let this salon touch my hair. I emailed the customer service email and the only response I got was an email asking me to give a great review on yelp.... I spent $300 on this treatment plus another $100 on hair products..... It was a very expensive lesson. Never again. read more

I had never had a massage and was looking forward to being relaxed and Affinity Day Spa and Salon did not disappoint me at all. I had my nails shellacked and this has been 2 months ago and my nails are still holding up. I enjoyed my session so much my kids are getting me a gift certificate again but for more pampering. Went here for the first time for an appointment with Koni who was recommended by a friend. From the minute I walked in the door I noticed a clean, professional atmosphere. Koni was fantastic! She explained everything, from the cut we decided on, to blow drying/styling it and products. She has a clear understanding of hair! My mom treated my sister and I to a girls spa day when I was in town for Thanksgiving. Affinity was easy to find and we were greeted right away when walking in. We were taken back to the dressing room area where they had big, plush robes waiting for us. Once we got into our robes, we sat in a sitting area and waited just a few minutes for the massage therapists. My massage was fantastic. The room was the perfect temperature with a heated table. The therapist did a great job of asking my needs and checking on me throughout the hour. When finished, we sat in a sauna while waiting to get mani pedis. We got back into our clothes and were taken to the salon area. The massage chairs were great and the pedicures were nice, except there was no massage for the legs, which is my favorite part. Also, the ladies took a long break in the middle of our pedicures, leaving us wondering if they were ever coming back. We still had to get manicures and the process was taking much longer than expected. I was disappointed by the manicure, and again lack of massage. I would recommend the massage services, but I would not go back for manicure or pedicure. To me, it was not worth the cost. The entire salon was comfortable and decorated nicely, the atmosphere was pleasing. read more

ever. NEVER go to ASHLEY EASTON at affinity day spa. She RUINED MY HAIR! And not only that but she wont take RESPONCIBILITY for it. She wasn't listening to what I want, and after I said I didn't think I liked it she was rude. Said she could dye my whole hair red (which is what I had before and she knew I was trying to get away from the red on my roots.) She said it's almost exactly like the picture I showed her and as you see it's clearly not. Was was being rude, I was upset and trying not to lash out, so I paid her and left. I cried for hours on my sister and she called and requested my moneyback. The manager wont get involved.She wont give my money back. I cant believe it. I am distraught at how AFFINITY DAY SPA IN DAVISON is treating me. Here are the pictures of what I want my hair to look like and what she did. Please call up to affinity and complain.
