When I first got there I had seen probably like two other doctors that I just was not Vibin with and I just felt like They just were not a match for myself and my family so I requested to be switched out and that's when I got Dr. Angela Carter and I'm so happy that we had an opportunity to have her as a doctor because we kept her for 12 years!!! She's one of the best primary care doctors that I've ever had and I was so sad to leave her office and move cross country. If you're looking to go to a doctor definitely request her!!!

She always hears out every concern I have and makes it clear that my health really is her priority. The rest of the staff here are super friendly and welcoming and always attempt to ensure I am comfortable. I hate going to the Dr. But because every experience here has been so good, it is no longer on my list of dreaded errands. I cannot fathom why the rating on this page is so low, but my personal experience here has been the total opposite of what others have implied.

On multiple occasions I've felt this practice had let me down. While living in Fayetteville, I'd go…read morethere with multiple issues I'd like to talk to Dr sturcken about and I'd be told I'd need to schedule another apt to discuss more than one issue at a time. This was really disheartening. On another occasion I visited the office for an apt and needed blood work. After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.

Too bad I can't give a score of minus five…read more I had a cardiac event last Spring, and was referred to see Dr. Lokhande at Fayetteville Heart Center after I got discharged by the doctors at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. I tried to make the appointment with that doctor and he did not have any appointments until October. I was told he only saw patients one day a week. A five month wait to see the cardiologist is ridiculous. I had three appointments with a different cardiologist, Dr. Divyang Patel, for follow up for that same cardiac event and not once did I see the Dr. Patel. I was seen by a PA or a nurse. They seemed knowledgeable, but they are not cardiologists. I had three tests ordered by those providers, one at was done at Fayetteville Heart Center, one at CFV Hospital and one at Womack Army Medical Center. When the tests were done at either Fayetteville Heart Center or at the hospital, a follow up appointment was scheduled for one month after the test. I went to the follow up appointment for the test done in the office, I was told the tests weren't read by a doctor yet. After that visit, I knew I was not going to be returning to Fayetteville Heart Center for care. When I was checking out the young woman at the checkout desk asked if I wanted to make a follow up appointment for six months and I said no. Later when I checked My Chart to see if the results of test results were done. I saw that she had scheduled an appointment for me anyway. It took three months for the results of the test done in the hospital to be placed in my health record. I had much better care at WAMC for the appointments I had there. I'm glad they had space available for me. They figured out what was causing that particular issue and it was resolved. I found another cardiologist to go to, and when I contacted Fayetteville Heart Center to see what I needed to do to authorize my records to be sent over to the new cardiologist office I spoke to three people. I got three different answers.

After she examined my wounds, she left and after 10 maybe 12 minutes of sitting, I went outside to ask if they were done and she replied yes. But never sent the young lady back in to cover my wounds, luckily I had my own supply. I let her know I used my own and her reply was "awesome." No apology for not sending the young lady back. She's horrible and they need to teach her how to deal with people. The first doctor that was working along side her was great, maybe Chaffee should shadow her! I will NEVER go back if she's the doctor I need to see. Kudos to the front desk staff, the assistant that took my vitals and the first doctor (my apologies I can't remember your name). To Chaffee and your med student, go back to the drawing board on how to treat people because you suck at it!
