Time stops, and I can honestly say I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I get excited about a magazine, a newspaper, a comic book, a romance, a crime thriller series, etc to where I want to learn and know more. With every book, magazine, or newspaper, I bought the right to mark up a book for my enlightenment and expand my knowledge. I am a life learner. And Barnes & Noble feeds that addiction. Why doesn't someone live in a Barnes & Noble, like the Capital One guy? I can't put a price on education. Getting a membership helps save money!

Nothing compared to B&N though. The number of books they had as a kid was just mind numbing. I would spend hours looking at the comics and manga before buying some SF or fantasy book. These days I tend to just use libraries or local, non-chain bookstores. However there is still some nostalgia for this store. This location is a decent size, well maintained, and has a good selection. I've never had any issues with the staff. I haven't gotten anything from the cafe so I can't comment on it.

The space inside feels older, it has characters & that bookstore feel you can't explain. I was pleasantly surprised by how big the store was! They did a really good job of organizing books so it wasn't hard to find what I was looking for and in addition to it was easy to browse I ended up spending over an hour just looking around. The downstairs area also has a used book area which I love because it makes them more affordable which helping someone explore an older book for the first time. Anytime I'm in the area I'll be popping in to see what's new (or used) and grab a few books. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to surf through hard copies of books to pick what's right for them. I even found a book on my TBR downstairs in their used section, which felt very lucky - especially for $7! They don't have as many knick-knacks and gifty things as other indie bookstores, but I don't mind it. Sometimes I'd rather have the focus be on the books.
