We had a 4 Hour Drive to las grutas (and if you…read moreknow, the hotels there are first come first serve so you cannot reserve the rooms ahead of time online therefore you need to get there ASAP) and the car they provided us with broke down within one hour of our road trip.. that pushed us back for a long time which is uncalled for when u have a sensitive timeframe and need to be at a specific location on time. So I guess here in Mexico they give you half of a tank when you first get the car so you only need to return it back with half the tank filled. Since we were going on a road trip we were like sure let's fill up our tank all the way before we head out. We did so and of course within the next hour our car breaks down. When they finally came we told them that we had filled the car up so if possible can they provide us with a car that has a full tank when they come. They came and the tank wasn't all the way filled up but it was almost so we were OK with it. So after the next few days we completed our trip and it was time for us to return the car and of course we're going to return the car halfway full because that is how we initially received it. They decided to try charge us because we did not fully fill it up all the way. How is that right when you guys gave us a half tank and then also gave us a car that broke down on us? We didn't even create a hassle for that or ask for a refund or any type of compensation when we could've! Not to mention they also stalled us for so long knowing we had a flight to catch in order for us to pay them the gas charge. Don't ever broke through this company, it will give you stress and more of a headache than anything

On arrival at terminal 3, their shuttle took us to their airport site for pick up of the rental car. They first required a deposit of $7,000. After objecting, they reduced it to $3,000. On more objections they brought down the deposit to $450 provided I take out complete insurance cover. I ended up signing up for $417 plus a hold of $450 on my card. It was a hold up situation because we had 8 heavy bags with us and no easy means of moving. I found out later that other friends who had taken cars experienced the exact same forced situation with other rental companies including AVIS. Dont understand why the Mexican Tourism Board tolerates this situation.

At this station make sure your senior/handicap enters on the left side, so assure a seat. You can accompany them on that side too. The -2 stars is because there is zero discount for seniors/handicap. Which I think is extremely unfair since metro & metrobus give them free unlimited access. Also the need for a 2nd type of prepaid card is a hassle especially bc I've only used it twice in my life & never carry it. So I have to purchase another if I forget it or don't plan ahead. Let alone if you're a tourist in a group, every person needs one bc its non shareable unlike meteo/metrobus!!!

I was looking for an…read moreATM (near the back of the building, past all the shops) and came across a permanent looking ring, where a 6 year old boy was wailing on a 8 year old girl. The kids were covered in padding, so it's not like they were in any real danger. The shops are nice- good for travelers, and people who are commuting on the trains. Sleek marble surfaces and chrome are the decor here, so it looks nice. It feels safe here. There's plenty of things going on around here- a bus station and a big library are next door. The station has a bunch of subway lines that come/go from here. They have a little model train that is supposed to go around on a track past miniature rural scenes. However that wasn't working, and a full scale model train that wasn't working either. Out in front of the station, tacos and other street foods are sold for ridiculously cheap prices. On the side of the station is the Plaza of the Americas- a nice open place to hang.
