Was…read moreable to sign up pretty quickly, however, had to wait roughly a month before getting started because I applied during the summer time. Went and purchased clothes ready to work...I was like I got this. You have to pick positions online(via frontline) and if you aren't viewing it like crazy, you can't accept positions. You may also choose to receive calls with positions available for you to accept. However, you may not understand the recording and try to log in to the online site to view map information on the available job only to find out that someone stole the position quickly--so don't think that you are the only one being called you with the job. You will receive payment via direct deposit. I received a payment for a half day of working(half day was approximately 4 hours) with students. @$26 (Pay is about 6-7.75 an hour.) They already have the hours in the system as far as how long you stay so breaks are not something you want to do so keep yourself busy. Just because you stay over for an hour or two doesn't mean that you are compensated for it. So only work your set time for the few extra pennies per hour. You are not really paid per hour unless you get an teacher assistant position. I know it seems like I am all over the place about payment, but seriously you will get a document of whatever location(s) you want to accept positions for(Lexington, Kershaw, Richland, etc). It already has how much you will make for the full day($48, $50, $55, $59, $65). Like for instance, an example is if you accept a full day at let's say some school and their pay is $55 for the full day(yes you are looking at getting to the school by 7:15-7:30 to work until about 3:00-3:30pm. I know you are thinking WHAT??? "So you are saying that I could work for 8 hours and only make $55 for the day?" YES, this is possible if that is what the LOCATION PAYS. Not even minimum wage right. Gas reimbursement-NO. You are not reimbursed for gas just because you picked up a shift an hour or two away. You are also not reimbursed in any way if you go in for a position and as soon as you get to the location, they say that they tried to cancel the position. You just wasted time and gas for nothing. God forbid you chose a shift an hour or two away... Good luck getting them to PAY you correctly. If they call you to ask if you can work a shift in a location for today and you accept--there is a high chance that they could not place it in the system correctly and you aren't paid for those hours you worked. If you noticed in the third paragraph, I said that I was paid for an half day. I worked two other full days, however, was never paid. I called about it and emailed but I am not going to run them down for $100. To say that they have that much staff and can't keep up with their substitutes hours is crazy. They can keep it--it is not worth the effort. This is a great job for someone who doesn't need the extra income. I SHOULD GET PAID FOR THIS REVIEW...

Kelly (as far…read moreas I know) stands out from some of the other staffing firms in the area as they have a rep physically located at Blue Cross / Blue Shield (on Percival Road) as well as General Information Services in Chapin (which is where I was at for around a month this year). I did not realize this that they have Kelly Educational Staffing as well, where one of the reps works with at least the Lexington 2 School District (I want to saw there might be two other school districts in the area that this office services as well) for substitute teaching. They do have their main office on Berryhill Drive and do work with other companies (besides GIS, BCBS, and the school systems) if you do want to look outside these companies.
