When we arrived, we were told that massages needed to be reserved 24 hours in advance. That wasn't made clear to us on the website when we purchased our access, so that was disappointing right off the bat. After checking in, no one explained what amenities were available, where anything was located, or what we were supposed to do. We basically sat there waiting for some direction while watching the staff figure out who was going to help us. The lounge itself was also much smaller than I expected, and the service--especially toward the back of the lounge--was pretty nonexistent. We actually already had access to the American Airlines lounge but decided to pay extra for The Grand Lounge because we thought it would be a better experience. Unfortunately, I regret spending the extra money. If you do decide to come here, double-check exactly which lounge you're booking. Apparently, the space-themed lounge/area needs to be reserved in advance, otherwise you may end up in the regular lounge toward the back like we did. Overall, the experience was extremely underwhelming for something we specifically paid to upgrade to. Save your money and choose a different lounge.

I LOVED the space theme!!!!! The main area of the lounge is decorated with a moon landing space theme, complete with a huge Apollo 11 replica capsule in the center. We were enticed by the "Apollo 11 experience" and paid 200 pesos/person to enter the capsule, which opens up into a plush private lounge! Our host was lovely and served us delicious coffee and snacks. We lounged and enjoyed the ambiance for 20 minutes before we had to head to our gate. I was blown away and it was a highlight of the airport.

It's a nice customer service touch versus the self-service buffets! My server was friendly and very attentive, proactively offering to refill my tea. Confusingly, the menu shows prices for each item, but the small script at the bottom explains everything is free for Platinum cardholders (only Aeromexico card holders have to pay à la carte). I enjoyed the fruit/yogurt/granola bowl, and the French toast was reasonably good. It was nice that everything was made to order. I was here at 5 AM and without any natural light, the lounge was pretty dark--but maybe that was better since it was so early anyway. They do have a spa at the end of the lounge that I'd love to try one day when I'm flying out later in the day. I do wish there were more comfy/lounge type chairs here, and better access to power outlets. This lounge is overly optimized around dining v. lounging, compared to most Centurion lounges. But overall, it's a relaxing escape from the terminal.

The menu is a bit confusing because it lists out the prices for each item. But everything was actually complimentary with the Platinum card. I ordered the rib eye tacos, which were so good that I ended up ordering a second serving. The dessert was pretty good as well.

Access to this exclusive lounge requires holding a Premier card with HSBC. You can also bring 2 guests in. Food can be ordered at the counter. Given our current pandemic, this is nice because it limits people from touching things. Food and drink is served quickly and promptly. I had the mushroom omelette which was nice, along with a espresso cortado (yum!). Everyone wore masks during my stay here, including those making phone calls. I'm so used to seeing people talking on their phones with their masks off. At least at this lounge, people have the courtesy to respect mask rules! While the lounge is small and may not be as big as the next door Aeromexico Lounge, it makes up for it by being a more comfortable experience. Clean, quiet, and respectful folks -- what more can you ask for? I'll definitely be back here during any visits/transits thru Mexico City.

I've been a HSBC premier member for over six years and never did I hear or know about such airport lounges. When I got back home I looked it up and it seems they are only located in South America for some reason. The lounge has many TV screens, free wifi, free appetizers/snacks/wine/beer. All those are unlimited and the staff there are happy to serve. Great service, nice place to relax in between flights! Only thing I wish is there was HSBC lounges in the US!!!

There seems to be enough room but it was a late flight so I'm not sure if that's different during the day. I did not get flagged to go through further security on my way out of the airport but some people were. No real way of knowing why, literally someone just opened up a divider and told us all to go through. Coming back a few days later, I arrive in the mid-morning and it's a very bright check-in-hall with lots of signs to be able to get around. The agent at Aeromexico was super friendly and she spoke English. Security was odd but quick. You show your boarding pass and your passport and a glass portal takes a picture of you and you are then allowed to the X-ray machine. Some people had to undergo further screening I guess but it wasn't fully explained. Got through security decently quick, just make sure to take all of your big electronics out and standard rule as in the US, no liquids over 100 ml or 3.4 oz. Once I was through security there were so many shops to look at. Everything from fancy places to a Burger King and Tim Hortons. I walked to my gate about an hour before boarding started but even then it was still pretty crowded and hard to find a place to sit down unfortunately. I guess this place is about 20 years old but the Halls where people need to wait for their flights could use a bit more seating. Just something I observed. Other than that it was perfectly clean and definitely would fly through here again!

Living so close to the border, this route really makes Mexico City feel surprisingly close to home. Terminal 2 was busy, but I found it pretty easy to navigate. Signage was clear, security and boarding were smooth, and there were plenty of places to grab something to eat or drink. Having access to a Priority Pass lounge was another nice perk and gave us a comfortable place to relax before the flight. For Southern California travelers, the combination of CBX, nonstop flights from Tijuana, and lounge access makes this an incredibly convenient way to get to Mexico City.
