It's only been one day, and I'm attuned to the fact that things are definitely still settling/integrating, but I feel more purely me (as if before, unknown to me, I had been dragging and holding many others, and that has been released... which it turns out is actually the case). The result manifests as feeling much more lightness, joy, and ease. A huge added bonus from our work together yesterday is a great deal of clarity around my life purpose / work and where I will be focusing my attention as I move forward in my career. The closeness and connection that we nurtured provided a soft spiritual place for me to land every month with whatever was going on in my life. The spiritual work we did together in that group was deep and profound, and I feel like I am in a different place in my life after a year of this work. Because of the pandemic, there has been a lot from my past that I've been forced to deal with and that has had an impact on me as well. There was so much breakthrough and emotions in my first long distance session. That night I actually got a full 8 hours of sleep and that hasn't happened in a LONG time! On top of that, my family noticed a difference about me and my energy. It felt weird feeling 'normal' after not feeling normal for a long time. I've been sort of going through a rough patch aka that which is 2012-2019 (yep) and I'd been doing a lot of soul searching, questioning, and experimenting. My best friend who lives in Las Vegas had mentioned her experience with Reiki and how great her experience was, so I began to do my research. It wasn't until maybe last year that I was aware of people's energies and more specifically chakras and their effects on people. I had always just felt mentally disconnected from my body and as if my energy(energies?) inside were clogged and extremely stagnant. With what little I knew of Reiki, I thought I'd benefit from a session. Why not? I actually searched on Yelp for a practitioner, and came across Reiki Works. I didn't know what I was going into and I didn't know how to prepare. Reiki was a new experience. This made me a bit nervous. I didn't even know if Reiki was "going to work". Luckily enough, Maret helped me feel at ease and she's a great person to talk to in general. It felt more like hanging out and catching up with a friend more than it did seeing a practitioner who has to do work on you, so some of my nervousness dissipated. I'm really, extremely fortunate that Maret was the one to co-pilot this cathartic Reiki session with me. It was an inexplicable experience that was both physical and mental. Honey was having some physical problems too and so was I. Although I knew she was coming out of her medical issues, there were things that still seemed a bit off. I had gotten a stellar recommendation from a good friend and got in touch with Kate. I believe in animal communication and I believe in the power of Reiki. I know Reiki can help "unplug" some things physically because I have had it done personally. Kate spent hours with her! I learned things about Honey I never would have guessed. When it was over, Kate gave me her synopsis. One things she said was: "I don't know what this means, but she misses her red dress." I was ~ASTOUNDED!~ I said "I'll show you." I brought out a sparkly red tutu I bought for Honey a couple years before. I put it on her in front of Kate and it was a beautiful thing. If a horse could smile, she would have.
