They advertise for high quality food but it's just like any other fast food joint. Very unengaged…read moreservice too.

Tried Kadeau in Copenhagen, and wanted to try the Bornholm version which did not disappoint…read more Foodwise, this was absolutely top class and it cannot be far from getting the second Michelin star. 15 courses which were inventive, creative, and really well tasting. View of the beach around sunset is spectacular, and most seats are in first row by the window. Service is excellent, attentive, knowledgable, and friendly. The wines were good, a bit off-the-beaten path which is fun to try, even if my preference are the more typical ones. Juice (and tea) pairing is definitely a worthwhile alternative. Highly recommended.

OH, the bread and butter. they were perfectly salted and i think i could have survived off that for the rest of my life. after the amuse-bouche we had salted turbot with cabbage and beach herbs. i'm not a big fan of cabbage but it went well with the rest of the light dish. the next plate was a bit more interesting, almost resembling a swamp with the green 'pond' and leaves! luckily the visual did nothing to dampen my appetite and i thoroughly enjoyed the leeks (three ways) with shrimp and sorrel. now, i'm not a big meat-eater but the this plate was easily my favourite; a generous slab of sirloin with young onions, peas, and browned butter. the flavours worked beautifully and the meat was cooked perfectly. as the meal rounded off, i was beginning to feel almost uncomfortably full. the staff was kind enough to present a bowl of their homegrown strawberries as a sort of palate cleanser before dessert. they were flawless; red throughout and super sweet! dessert was thankfully light though a bit strange; a mound of thinly sliced beetroot encapsulating rhubarb, cream, and yogurt. the beets was a bit too earthy for me and perhaps could have done with a bit of cooking. however i can't complain about the stuff underneath. great service, nice view, delicious food. wouldn't mind coming back here the next time i'm in bornholm!
