Unethical Billing Practices - Beware of No-Refund Policy on Small Orders…read more I recently placed an online order for a product from the Tampa Bay Times website. A few hours later, I changed my mind and canceled the order. I called customer service to confirm the cancellation, and they assured me it was processed and canceled. However, when I followed up to request a refund for the item I never used nor would use I was told that the company has a policy of no refunds on any purchase under $10. The charge was under that amount, so they kept my money despite the order being canceled and before I was using it. This feels like outright stealing. How can a reputable company justify keeping payment for a product or service that was cancelled, simply because the amount is small? It's fraudulent and predatory. Potential customers should be warned: if you place any order under $10 and need to cancel--even hours later and with confirmation--you will not get your money back. I've never encountered this policy at any other legitimate online retailer. It's completely unheard of and leaves a terrible impression of the Tampa Bay Times/Times Publishing Co. Very disappointed and will not do business with them again.

Once you pay her, she will try and get more money, all while making you believe she is "working on" your stuff. There are issues with her & copywrite infringment, and she will NEVER account for all funds, allow you to audit her books, and you can forget royalties because she's a SCAM artist! The WORST part about all of this is that she constantly poses as a christian, and has even stolen from non profits. She does NOT have the rights to my book, I never signed a contract with her. I chose to self publish. She doesn't own my books copywrite, yet she REFUSES to take my book and photo (that I paid for) down off of her website. She will name drop people of influence (that are in your circle) because she scours your social media for them. Finally, very HIGH turn over with her people because she stiffs them too, and they work for months without pay, only on false promises of later payment (when the work is finished). The rest of her "support" comes from people on Fivver. Do yourself a favor and self publish, there will be NO return on your "investment" if you're doing a book with her.

The Osprey Observer started publishing as a newsletter in 2001. The main focus was to cover community news and activities specifically in FishHawk Ranch. After the first month, residents started requesting more news from the surrounding community and we started to expand. We added the subdivision of FishHawk Trails, River Hills and Bloomingdale within the first four months and were printing more than 10,000 copies per month after only six months. Quickly we realized there could be unlimited growth to the paper and we had to strive to maintain a focus. What did we want to become? What continued to set us apart from the rest? The response is content. We are different because our stories cover the communities we are in. We wanted to maintain our reputation as a strong community newspaper despite our desire to grow. Our first goal was to identify 15,000 homes to include in the Bloomingdale/FishHawk edition and then to expand after 18 months into a completely new edition, Riverview. The Riverview edition started with eight pages and 10,000 homes and is now 36 pages delivered to 16,500 homes in Riverview and Apollo Beach.
