Care is individualized for each child and each child is given a chance to grow and learn in a respectful environment. The kids spend a good portion of the day outside so if you visit and the space seems small it is because they don't spend all day in the building. If it is over 10 degrees they are outside playing. Kids come home exhausted, happy, satiated, and wonderfully dirty. They are fed organic, healthy snacks, and they actually eat them. I almost choked on my coffee when I read the email that my son had asked for extra kale at snack time. Are you serious? It wasn't in chicken nugget form and he ate it? The administrators are working with kids and teachers all day so sometimes it can take a few calls to get questions answered. Don't get discouraged by this. It is worth the effort to get a hold of them and take a tour. As a foster parent I've experienced a lot of daycares and preschools in the area. There is no place in the county that compares to Green Apple.

They refer to eachother as "friends" and take a very gentle and realistic approach to how they construct their afternoons. Jill and Eric plan activities that involve mostly items found in nature and encourage the children to utilize their imagination to create fun and educational activities. I'm super excited that Green Apple is offering Spanish Immersion at AALC and will definitely be enrolling my daughter in this awesome opportunity. Going into toddler A and B she learned to walk so well she started potty training in toddler b on the potty and now in discovery preschool she's officially 3 and she's fully potty trained. The teachers really show how much this job means to them and what it takes to have a child improve. I'm super happy with how much She's grown as a toddler and learning to speak fluent sentences. Most of all what makes me the happiest is they have us bring family photos to stick up on the classroom walls and the child can be at eye level and know I'm in a safe place because my family is right beside me in my classroom As I move to each class as I grow. Once again Danielle swiftly did all she could to remedy the situation and somehow find room for two extra children! As a single mom, you can imagine I was extremely stressed. Danielle, Brittany & Rachel all miraculously made this hasty, unexpected transition run smoothly! Since the boys have been attending day care at ISW, they've learned so much! She truly gets to know each individual family. The center is nationally accredited, a rigorous process that takes into account many variables, so they are vigilant. It is a larger center, but each room consists of 8-12 children. They have a large outdoor space, which we love, and take the kids out multiple times per day weather permitting. The staff are amazing, each teacher is so passionate about working with kids and they plan the most creative and fun activities. Every time I see what they are doing, I am blown away with the crafts that they do with such simple materials. Our son thrives there- we are completely confident that he is not only in a space that is safe and loving, but one that will help foster learning and that appreciates him and his personality. No center is perfect and there are, of course, some improvements that can be made. But the key is open communication and we have found that whenever we bring up any concerns we have, the management and staff are eager to work with us. It's a great feeling to know that we are all on the same team and have the same goal in mind: to make sure that the kids are comfortable and happy!

We moved our son to Dorothy's Discovery Daycare, and while it's more expensive, it's a much better place, and they treat their staff better. I am so glad we only needed to go here for a few months. I would honestly look elsewhere. None of the staff that we loved ended up staying, they have all since left, and some have even ended up working at Dorothy's!

We personally know the owner and director and I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! My kids love going to daycare! We have experienced the infant, toddler, Little Sprouts, Young Explorer's and now Pre-School rooms and every room is fun, organized and well-run. Especially the infant/toddler rooms where the teachers have to keep track of feedings, naps, diaper changes, etc - everything is always documented and recorded. All of the teachers have been friendly, kind, helpful, and genuinely interested in my kids' learning and development. We would (and do) recommend Beginners Inn to anyone looking for high quality childcare in Canton!
