Dr. Fred Hisaw and his team met me for an after-hours emergency and stayed late to stabilize my Maggie after she had a run-in with a rattlesnake. No, no no you can't bring them in your way too late... they were open for 20 more minutes. No problem I guess I'll just bring my dead goat back home. Thank you so much for the compassion and the friendliness. NOT! I would recommend the Cody vet over them any day. Those people are always so nice especially when you have a dead animal with you and you've clearly already had a hard day!

While moving cross-country, my 14-year-old dog had a health emergency (which we now believe is…read morevestibular disease) that required an emergency vet. At my hotel in Cody, WY, I was recommended to Powell Veterinary Services (about 30 min. outside Cody), and they worked us in within about 5-10 minutes of our arrival. The vet and assistants were incredibly pleasant and, based on the potential (3) causes of her emergency, we were given medications and advice on how to best keep her comfortable traveling. One of the meds was a muscle relaxer, which of course can cause loss of bladder control. I was all set to try to hunt down the nearest place to buy diapers (dog or otherwise) and at the front desk, the receptionist remembered someone had recently donated some unused diapers for such situations, and gave them to us for our journey. Despite the negative reason for our visit,we were very pleased with our overall experience there.
