Elton took care of us, but also referred us to Blue Pearl for an ultrasound since the x-rays weren't clear.

This is a review for Dr. Donnell Hansen, who did a full mouth extraction of my 20 year old cat…read moreyears ago at the Blaine location of BluePearl. My cat had a heart murmur and was geriatric when we did this surgery. I was so grateful that BluePearl had a cardiologist to evaluate the heart murmur before surgery. Dr. Hansen was excellent from the moment I met her until the end. It was a long day in Blaine, but the receptionists told me about a cafe that had nice breakfasts. That helped me stay calm. My cat went through the surgery without event, although she did manage to lightly scratch her cornea on the mesh of her carrier because she was still under the effects of anesthesia. A prescription from my cat's regular vet for antibiotic ointment cleared it up. Dr. Hansen was careful, compassionate, brilliant, and diligent. She even spotted a growth in my cat's mouth, which thankfully was benign. This was a very high risk surgery for my cat at her age, with kidney disease and a heart murmur. My cat was in pain, so I had no choice but to do it. Dr. Hansen's expertise gave us the best chance of success and I'm so grateful it was successful. My cat has since passed at age 22.5. I'm so glad her last few years were painless and she could eat to her heart's delight. Dr. Hansen is a real gem of a veterinarian. I was very lucky to have her operate on my cat.

They gave her a quality of life assessment and then shared their results with us. The vet didn't make the decision, but was right there answering all the hard questions for us. We had lots of time to make the decision, and all the time we wanted with her before and after. Our dog had no stress and just quietly slipped away while we loved her. Thanks Blue Pearl for making a terrible experience much better.

My favorite vets EVER!!! Do not hesitate stop your search now. This is the best that it gets! I…read morehave changed vets so many times looking for "THE BEST" I have been to numerous top rated veterinarians in Edina, Minnetonka, etc. and was always disappointed by their lack of service/empathy. I paid a lot of money for sub par care. I am so glad I stumbled upon rice creek. They absolutely excel in Bengal cat care and any dog breed. I used to breed Bengal cats and I struggled finding a vet I could trust with each set of kittens not to mention I've switched vets 7x when they would do things like suggest I put a weak kitten down instead of take the time to hand feed them and bring them in every few days for an IV/ checkup. At rice creek they understood how much I cared about each and every kitten and they worked with me to give them all the best possible care even when the prognosis was grim. I referred all my clients to rice creek if they were in the twin cities area and I continue to tell anyone looking for a vet that this is the vet to go to especially if you have a Bengal cat or any dog. I appreciate all the times that they squeezed me in when I had more urgent needs- they were always quick to respond and all of their staff is so kind and considerate. I have moved a few times and currently live 45 minutes away. I STILL ALWAYS choose to take the time to drive all the way over there from Orono, Mn. Because I trust them 100% with the care of all my pets (Pomeranian, Pomsky, bengal cat). They're the best vets. I will always go there for all of my babies. Absolutely my top recommendation. Hidden gem for pet care in the twin cities.

When I think of Dr. Deb Thornquist, I hear her voice looking down lovingly at my Lil' Tyra Banks…read moreand saying...."You are such a brave little girl" :) Having a small Brussels Griffon, Dr. Deb found a smaller tool to use to help relieve Tyra of painful, ear infections. When Tyra was out of state and I needed a second opinion, I emailed Dr. Deb and she called me followed up with an email. Finding out Tyra's health was failing from kidney failure, she worked with the Kidney Specialist, always wanting to be in the loop and co-vet with helpful advice, watching for reports to be added into Tyra's file and confirming we were making the right decisions and sharing her opinions when asked. We had 3 "bonus months" with Tyra and Dr. Deb was empathetic, compassionate, professional and loving....she made suggestions to aid us in painful decisions we would have to make in what we knew was in our future. Being proactive, my daughter and I made an appointment with Dr. Deb to prepare for what might be putting Lil' Tyra down. At the end, Tyra was not in pain, but I could tell her health was failing fast. The receptionist answered the phone hearing the panic in my voice. With Dr. Deb not available that day, she gave me the phone number to call someone to the house since we didn't want a stranger making Tyra feel scared. For whatever reason, God only knows, Tyra was not in pain so she passed in my arms in her sleep at home in her safe place. It was the most heartwrenching moment I have ever had but I know that was a blessing knowing not everyone can do that with end of life situations. I loved my furry daughter all the way through to the end. She was relaxed, fell asleep *snoring* and shortly later she was gone. My heart still hurts but I know it will be replaced with loving memories over time. When Dr. Deb was notified that Tyra lost her battle with kidney failure, she called me. I saw Kelley Animal Hospitals's number on my screen and knew it was her. Hearing her voice gave me comfort and her words of love for my Tyra meant more to me than she will probably ever know. It has only been 5 days since my final goodbye to Tyra, but reflecting that dogs may live and share only 1/3 of their lives with us....I think to myself...what a special person Dr. Deb is to sooo many people and their pets. I knew "Dr. Kelley" She was a passionate vet, with a love for all animals, who opened "Kelley Animal Hospital" and I believe she is looking down from heaven and smiling because she knows that Dr. Debbie is a gift to our community just as she/Dr. Kelley was when she opened up this animal hospital. Thanks Deb, I will forever remember and share with others how grateful we were to have you take care of my brave little girl. Puppy kisses from Tyra in Doggy Heaven!
