I recently moved here from Alabama and needed to find a gynecologist because I was late on my yearly visit, so I chose Advanced OB-Gyn Associates in the Butler location. I was given an appointment with Dr. Dynelle Smith. I arrived at the office, which required wearing a mask at all times. They had me register on one of a couple of terminals in the waiting area. The check-in process was easy and the women in the back that helped me check in and out were very friendly and helpful. I only waited a couple of minutes after check-in to go back to a room. A nurse gathered all of my symptoms and issues and not long after that Dr. Smith came in. She was excellent. She took a lot of time to listen to me and even rechecked something that I had a concern about. During the exam, she also observed my Hidradenitis suppurativa under my arms and offered a topical antibiotic to try to see if it would help. Recently I sent a message to the office on the patient portal about a problem that was still occurring after taking medication and they called me within an hour and sent another medication in to try. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Smith! read more

Trying to refill a script is a circus. Called ahead of time, they said they would do it. Called the pharmacy and they didn't have it. Called Adv OB again, they said they would send it. Back to pharmacy...nothing. Called Adv OB again today to get apologies and it could take another 48 hours....okay, so you will pay the $1MM to raise a child if this goes south? Just go somewhere else. Look at the cranberry review as well. I do like Dr.Curtin and delivering at Butler hospital, but my whole pregnancy was a bad experience at Advanced and PP care was non existant. During pregnancy we had doctors rushing us always, messed up appointments, incorrect tests ordered, very rude/frazzled front desk etc. My husband wanted to switch doctors. I hate changing doctors because it's hard for me to go to appointments, so I resisted. Before one appointment, I could hear my doctor on the phone refusing to speak to a patient and literally yelling at someone (Ravasio). It was a bit scary. She got ne out of heat office as quickly as possible. Thei always told me that my joint pain was normal, but since then, I've come to realize that it wasn't. I couldn't sit. I struggled to walk and sleep through most of my pregnancy! Today, I called because I'm having PP issues and a possible UTI isn't cheating up with antibiotics. I've never dealt with such a ridiculous, rude nurse in my life. I assume that she was a nurse since her response to my 15 month PP issue was just that I didn't go in for my PP check up over and over. I was being scolded about an appointment that nobody told me about, even when I went in to see (Ravasio again) at 6 weeks to check my incision. I scheduled a PP appointment but apparently there was another kind appointment that I was being scolded for never making. How is this an appropriate response to someone telling you that they are in pain? Her name was Linny or Liddy? I was trying to get into the cranberry office because to go to butler is around 3 hours total with travel time, and I need childcare. She tells me that I can't get into cranberry for a month. I tell her that, of course, I cannot wait that long (possible UTI or something else strange going on(, and she says, "oh, do you think that you have an infection?" What!? That was my primary reason for calling. I had already discussed with 2 people that I was on antibiotics. She was still trying to schedule me (pain and potential infection) for this post partum routine visit that I missed a year ago! She was mean and ridiculous. I'm switching practices. I should have switched a long time ago. read more

PA-C Liz is the absolute best! Would recommend to anyone. Staff and providers are friendly and knowledgeable.

(Cranberry office) I called to make an appointment since I was 3 months behind from covid-19 shutdown. They told me that I had to make an appointment with their appointment manager to be called back to make an appointment. So we made it at 8 am the following Tuesday (one week later). They didn't call me until 9:30 am that Tuesday and then proceeded to tell me they were booked up for the next three months and that I needed to call back in two months. So I called back after two months to again be told that I had to make an appointment to be called back by their appointment manager to make an appointment. So once again, after making an appointment to make an appointment - they told me they were filled up and to call back!!! Seriously, I'm now 9 months past due for my yearly. Totally ridiculous!! Apparently, they don't need my business! If they provided great care then I would wait but they are at best average. I'm currently looking elsewhere! read more
