Once upon a time there was a little boy up north in a little town called Oxnard. The little boy was one of four brothers and he and his younger brother would shine shoes in this Barbershop. In the 1960's there was a lot of shoes to be shined. The brothers learned about sanitation and sterilization at a very young age and two of them grew up to be Barbers just like their dad... three of my children are Barbers today in Orange County. Now 50 years later one of the brothers has his own shop and at 60 years old is cutting hair in a little city called Bakersfield. You can find him on the corner of Merle Haggard Avenue and North Chester in a little shopping center next to the Chevron station.
