If he'd done his homework or spoken to me, he'd know I also need the exterior of my house, my carport, and several other rooms painted. This was the first step in a long process for a retired person living on a fixed income. He's out several thousand dollars albeit it over the long run, for his "sorry for the inconvenience" text he sent me.

I liked that he was an owner operator who was actually doing the work so planned to go with him. Then his contract showed up.... in non-editable PDF form and was extremely lopsided: $200/day late fee, he can quit the job anytime but I couldn't, warranty was expressly disavowed, not responsible for breakage, etc. As a tip, if you decide to move forward with him, make sure you check his insurance policy. If I read the indemnities section correctly (which is difficult), his liability is capped at whatever insurance he carries. That means that if a worker falls off your roof and sues you in excess of his insurance, you're on the hook, even if they are negligent. When I tried to make a more reasonable agreement and align his written word to his spoken word, he declined the job. Guessing he's had some bad experiences and over-reacted.

The paint hasn't even dried ... they haven't even pulled away from the house and I'm so excited to share how happy we are with the job that they've done. Each day Robert and his team showed up between 7:30/8 am continued to impress us with their professionalism and meticulous nature. Our home looks brand new and we couldn't be more pleased! This is our second time working with them after originally booking them for some interior bedrooms 3 years ago when we moved in. Our neighbors have been calling / texting and complimenting the house already! He was incredibly fair with his pricing and patient with my asks . He told me a price and there were no surprise cost despite him finding rotting wood in multiple places that he went out of his way to patch and repair.
