I set an appointment with Dr Greenberg and before coming in i explicitly asked if they treated the 2 types of conditions i have and did medication management and they said yes. When he finally came in, the first thing he said to me was "why are you here, what can i help you with?" - I FILLED OUT 20 PAGES OF PAPERWORK. YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW WHY I'M HERE. Second thing he said was "I don't know why you're here, I don't really treat what you have." The staff obviously booked me knowing full-well that they weren't actually going to do anything to help me, just so they could get paid for a visit. And of course there will be no consequences for them, there never are. When i spoke with them they said they were "different than other pain clinics" because they offer prolotherapy and stem cell therapy. They're not. This is just one more self-important doctor who treats you like you're a drug addict for asking for pain medication despite having well-documented pain causing conditions. I can't get any help anywhere for pain, despite trying all kinds of alternative methods because doctors are so afraid to prescribe pain medication because of the selfish fools who abuse them. March 2018! I went to this person that I hesitate to even call a doctor for almost 2yrs, but after 18 months of Physical & Mental HELL...I am Free of his Mental Head Games..His 1st concern on my 1st visit, would I write a review for him..Sure, I really believed on that 1st visit that he had All my Records..I would learn very soon that he did not have them..And dare I ask him how he can properly care for me, workout my records.I felt like he Retaliated against me, for questioning his care, of me! By the time I reached a Compassionate doctor, I could not walk with out help, sit, barely stand, and was in a laying position from Dec 19, 2018 to March 2019! He Crippled Me Playing God! It is Very Well Known In The Community what this person is doing!! I now am able to sit very short term, walk very short distances(I had been able to walk my dog prior, no more) I can Stand, against a wall for awhile, its difficult! I have had to have 7 Injections, all but the last one, really helped me..These Injections are a Direct result of Greenberg harming me!!! I had no issues with my Right Leg prior to seeing Greenberg, I have Serious Issues now!! It Originally took me till 2003 to walk...5 yrs!!! Greenberg he put me right back where I was, following the Injury in 98!! I don't know if I will ever be, where I was, physically in 2015, prior to Greenberg's cruel painful debilitating treatment, or Lack There Of!! It took my doctor's (both retired in 2015) 17 yrs to get me in pretty good condition, for my injury!! He Destroyed Their Work on Me!! He Took Me Back 20yr's!! I am Worse now!! And He is Getting Away With Doing This To Others.. I've heard their Stories.. I've met them...Other Doctors have Met Them too.. Just had a great first appointment with Dr. Greenberg. The staff was very helpful when I came in without my required mountain of paperwork. Dr. Greenberg was friendly, attentive, and made sure to explain everything I needed to know in a manner I could understand. I was hesitant to visit this office after reading a couple of the other reviews on yelp, but I am very glad I did not heed them. We Ashlanders can be so sensitive for silly reasons. Dr.Greenberg was my pain management doctor for over a year. I didn't have any prior experience with this type of care, prior to this my primary doctors managed my pain. I had a traumatic spinal cord injury that resulted in quadriplegia. I have recovered about 50% but am in 24/7 muscle and nerve pain. Dr. Greenberg treated me like an addict from the moment I walked in. I wasn't looking to up my medication or take anything other than what had been helping me or the last four years. He did nothing to soothe my pain but rather limit the amount of medication I was taking to the point where I was just barely able to get through the day. I remained in constant pain, barely able to be part of my family and not being able to be active with my children in any capacity. Every time I suggested I was not able to participate normally in daily activities and would ask if something could change he would lower the amount of medication I was allowed to take. One time specifically, he had given me a new prescription to try. The dose was "one to two daily". I tried one and it wasn't helping throughout the day, by 2pm I returned to crippling pain. So, I started taking two a day, as the prescription stated, and ran out within a week. I called his nurse and said two a day was helping and could I get a refill till my next appointment in two weeks. Her reply was, I wasn't supposed to take two a day, it was one or two and I should have only taken one. There would be no refill till my next appointment. I spent the next two weeks barely able to get out of bed because of how much pain I was in. I was baffled. I felt like I had done something wrong and this was my punishment. Every visit I felt like I had to say the right thing and act the right way of I would loose the little medication I was "allowed" to have. I finally had enough after talking to my primary physician. I explained my stress and frustration and asked to be recommended somewhere else. I was recommended to Quave Pain Clinic. At Quave they believe you should be able to live the best life you can, even with chronic pain. They worked with me and listened to my needs, I have a very good pain manager now who is always looking at what they can do better to support me and make sure I can be productive in my family and be a good parent to my kids. Quave is always offering alternatives to straight medication, I really wouldn't take medication if I didn't have to, and they don't penalize me for trying legal alternatives as long as I make a plan with them first. I have never feel like I'm a bad person for being in pain or less of a human for wanting to feel better. Dr.Greenburg constantly reminded me that I would never get back to "normal" and penalized me for questioning his recommendations. Dr. Greenberg has zero time for his patients and it takes a lot of effort to keep his attention for more than 3 minutes. Additionally, I would ALWAYS have to wait for over an hour after my scheduled appointment time to see Dr. Greenberg. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR FOR ANY REASON.. If you are younger than 75 he will make you feel like an addict and less of a person. read more

This person is dangerous.. He profiles the patients.. Will refuse to get your prior record's. Will treat you for a year or so, as you have been treated, by a prior pain management doctor that may have retried, as in my case..Then one day he will decide nothing is wrong with you..He is about power & control..By the time you realize that there are still caring compassionate doctors not connected to Greenberg, you will be questioning your own Sanity, Life & in Severe Phyical Pain. Or in my case Suicidal from the Mental games he played with me! Every visit is about meds, Never your Health! His bedside manner is Rude.. I could write a Separate Review just on his Unprofessional Personality.. He tries to get Honest Unflattering Reviews removed, by saying there not from his patients. I was his patient, every visit made me ill..I could not sleep under the stress of his lack of care..On your 1st or 2nd visit he will ask you to write a review for him.. Bonnie at the front desk is very rude, unless you are Elderly, then she is polite..His nurses are very professional, kind & caring..So if you have a verified chronic health issue, please know there is still help out there you do not need to be abused. I've been a patient of Dr. Greenburg's for 1- 1/2 years for Medication Management, when I first came to see Dr. Greenburg I was in urgent need of help, moreover it was essential that I get assistance as soon as possible. Dr. Greenburg has both a high level of integrity and compassion, He and his staff are professional, friendly and non judgmental. I've had past experiences with inept Doctors and seeing Dr. Greenburg has liberated me and has given me new freedom to live my life. After calling other pain specialist and told I would be on a long list of others for up to three months before I could get an appointment I was left feeling discouraged and helpless. My primary Doctor made one call to Dr. Greenburg and I was able to get in to see him within three days, I now have a new sense of independence and optimism, I'm no longer captive to my illness. I recommend Dr. Greenburg to anyone that needs help with Pain/Medication Management. He is thoughtful and knowledgeable with an etiquette often not found in Medical field these days. My review is purely based on just setting up my initial appointment and interactions with their scheduling and billing specialist Becky. I called as a new patient (I am 23 years old suffering from chronic debilitating pain 24/7 for the last 1.5 years, just moved and have no providers in my new home) and asked for the soonest available, which was over 3 weeks out. I then had an extremely painful 6 days following a titration down on old medicine. So I called today (with about 2 weeks to go until my appointment) to ask if I could please be added to the waitlist for cancellation appointments, Becky then seemed very insensitive and just, mean. She said oh well I had already told you the Dr is gone until your app (which she didn't) so there is nothing available to you so I don't know what you want me to do! I said I'm sorry for wasting your time, I did not know, I will wait for my appointment. The main reason this felt to bitter and I compassionate to me, is because this is a pain clinic. They deal with people who are, simply put, suffering. To not have the capacity to at LEAST be NICE in this setting, is disturbing. I was referred to Dr. Greenberg for a chronic hip problem after a fall. I had not been walking well, able to sit or stand for long periods and had been unable to take walks on our ranch or ride my horse for months. After a series of perineural injections I felt great relief of my pain and was finally able to sleep at night. I am now able to exercise, I am walking up and down hills on our ranch and best of all, riding my horse again! My life totally changed after these injections which allowed me to work harder in physical therapy to get myself back in shape for my real life. I am spinal cord injured. Because a) my PCP retired and b) Asante won't allow PCPs to Rx pain meds, I was sent to Greenberg. I wouldn't take my dog to this doctor. He epitomizes uncaring. He makes no effort to build rapport. He does not discuss my care with me, rather makes unilateral decisions. HE DOES NOT LISTEN. He types the whole time you're speaking. If you are speaking, and not in direct answer to a question from him, he interrupts and is dismissive. On the intake forms (which equal a small booklet), I wrote twice that the questions do not cover my condition; and I stated this to him. He ignored this completely, which means he made decisions about my care without learning everything about my condition or my circumstances. When I said that THC is the most helpful for pain relief, he said and I quote "Well, you think so." He did a muscle-strength scale, and he put his hand on my head and tried to turn my head, as though I were a mannekin, rather than simply asking me to turn my head. In short, he is arrogant and controlling. And his nurse? His nurse runs games on patients and is amused by this, which is just sick.
