They came to the house to clean and repair the hearing aides for my 91 year old mother in law some…read morehow they sold her $2000 in hearing aides even though hers worked, immediately took the money out of her account, she now has $56 to live on for a month How does a covered clean and repair turn into an immediate charge for $2000 I am not trusting what just happened and the lack of urgency to return phons calls or the money

Hearing Unlimited And Todd Are Simply The Best, Better Than All The Rest!…read more As my mother says, Todd brings happiness to our home!!! I cannot say enough great things about hearing unlimited and their hearing professional Todd. My father had a stroke about 3 years ago and is completely deaf in one ear and very close to completely deaf in the other ear. Todd explained there's only so much hearing aids can do for my father since his hearing is very profound but they would do their best to help him. Well, the hearing aid they provided my father has made a HUGE difference in his life! He can now hear me, he can enjoy his TV programs and he has talked more in the month he's had his hearing aid than he has in the past 3 years. And Todd is AMAZING. My father, although a nice man, has his moments and isn't the easiest person to get along with if something is going to cost money as he's set in his ways. Before I got involved, my mother scheduled 2 appointments with Todd over the span of 2 years and each time dad told Todd he wasn't interested. Todd graciously said he understood and to let his company know if my father ever changes his mind. Then I got involved. I told my dad he didn't have a choice and my dad reluctantly agreed to see Todd for a 3rd time. Well, Todd is now our best friend!!!!! He is so patient with my father, is incredibly kind, empathetic, honest and has great integrity. He has literally changed the quality of my father's life. My dad now wants to see family members he hasn't seen in years, wants to go to the casino and basically wants to be more active because he can now hear! He wants to engage in life instead of sit on the sidelines. Prior to getting this hearing aid, all my dad wanted to do was sleep and watch tv which he couldn't hear. I can't say enough great things about Todd and this company. They bend over backwards to help you: from helping you find a hearing MD, to coming to your house to meet with you, to helping you decide which hearing aid is best for you which may not be the most expensive (see...he is HONEST and has integrity) and to helping you get financing if needed. Todd, if I may quote Tina Turner, is simply the best, better than all the rest!!!!! If you or a loved one needs a hearing aid, go with Todd and Hearing Unlimited because they will bring happiness (and a bit of sunshine) to your home!

Swift Audiology - South Hills

I do not recommend Swift Audiology - South Hills to anyone interested in receiving proper health…read morecare for hearing loss. My experience with Swift Audiology was a lesson in repeated disappointments with service and concern as their client/patient. As a new customer I expressed my desire for better service than my previous hearing specialist over the last six years. I was assured that service and customer satisfaction was a top priority. My insurance allowed me to purchase only one brand of hearing aids that I paid $3,500 out of pocket after insurance coverage. Over the past two years I was informed that my insurance limited availability to an audiologist to Mondays appointments only, even though they are open Monday through Friday. After the one year warranty period expired I was charged $65 for each office visit for cleaning the hearing aids and those were performed by the receptionist and not by one of the audiologists. I felt like I was treated as a second class citizen because I did not generate enough revenue to earn any more than the bare minimum of quality care. I stopped in six weeks ago to have the dome inserts replace only to be informed that Swift Audiology would no longer provide service to the hearing aids they happily accepted my money for. I asked if I might have expected some notice in the mail to inform me of this change. Their answer was that I should search online to find who my insurance recommended as a new service provider. I was charged another $65.00 and shown the door. The message is loud and clear. The profit margin on the brand of hearing aids that Swift Audiology sold me was not enough to justify adequate service and care to me, as a customer. I will continue my search for the care I need to be an active participant in the hearing world.

I was seen today by Dr Schott in their North Hills, Corporate Drive office. She provided the most…read morethorough explanation of my hearing issues I have ever had. She was thorough on my hearing aid options and why I needed a certain type. Made so much sense. Dr Schott did not push the most expensive, in fact said with my loss the extra money would not pay. Elsewhere I have been told that each level I would go up in an aid would be better for me. I value Dr Schott's honesty and integrity. If you have hearing issues, look no further.

BUYER BEWARE! New owner refused to honor the free trial period clearly stated on his website (see…read moreattachments). He deducted $400! from my refund for hearing aids that did not fit my ear and completely dismissed the trial period as something he never agreed to. Continuing his deceit, he keeps all the positive reviews from the former owner on his website and passes them off as he had earned the accolades. Would not give me the courtesy to meet with me or respond to my questions. I never write reviews online, but the owner's blatant deception and unwillingness to hear my complaint gives me just cause. FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS is alot of money to pocket at the expense of a customer!
