I was so impressed with her knowledge of biology and the importance of the gut to our bodily systems that I made an appointment for an assessment and help with my gastrointestinal problems. She reviewed my medical history and meds/supplements. She ordered a few lab tests and then recommended a few herbals and supplements that helped me feel better. Last spring, I joined Sage's 6-month weight loss program, overseen by Wendy (labs, supplements, guidance), and weekly guidance and mentoring with a nutritionist (Masters). I was given all of the tools and tips I needed to successfully transition to a healthy and nutritious way of eating foods that support my health and wellbeing. The program includes other aspects of health, such as exercise, calming, and craving techniques. Kelly takes a lot of time to study your eating habits and what your medical issues are of you have any. When I came to her, I had been just diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. I was put on meds that made me feel like crap and not myself. I had a talk with my I physical therapist, whose wife put out the monthly gym newsletter. When I found out that she was covered by my insurance for 6 free visits per year, I had to try it and my PT agreed. I went into with no B.S and all the courage I could. To this day I am 76 pounds down and off all my diabetes meds. I have been given a new leash on life with just the change of my eating habits. Been a client of Lou and Larah's for about 6 months. Can't say enough good things about these…read moreguys. First, and most importantly, you will get results. Both L&L are very good at what they do - i.e. they know when to push and always are super supportive (even when you have an off day). Larah especially has been really supportive with my wife (not that Lou hasn't been). My wife is trying to get pregnant and Larah & Lou have been super supportive being new parents themselves. They measure your progress both qualitatively and quantitatively. They're always checking in to see how you're feeling and will never make you do an exercise that you're not comfortable doing. Both L&L will always show you the right way and are actively watching to make sure you're doing it right and most importantly safely. Second, they make you feel comfortable - which is really important. I've been to the big chain gyms and you never quite feel like you fit in. With Lou and Larah it's almost like they become your "workout buddies". They make you want to go and see them, hang out and work out. Lastly, their facility is top notch.
