Julio came over to discuss the project and what I wanted done. I needed a large limb removed that had fallen and lodged on my roof. I needed the limbs over my roof trimmed back. And I needed a massive, half-dead limb removed from my neighbor's tree that covering and threatening half my deck. I'll bet it weighed in at a ton. He explained how he would do it, gave me what I considered a reasonable price, and we set up a time. With other companies I've had bent gutters, cracked sidewalks, fence and deck boards. Not with Julio. He and his crew were careful and meticulous. Everything was either handed down or lowered by rope. It was cut up, hauled through the alley, and chipped at the curb. He showed me before and after pictures of the roof. And when they left, my deck and sidewalks were cleaner than when they got here. The workers mostly spoke to one another in Spanish and were incredibly kind when I asked them to move vehicles. HOWEVER - a supervisor/owner showed up, used his vehicle to block a roadway for an extended period of time and then proceeded to talk about women in the area in a disturbing and disgusting manner...describing their clothes, how tight they were, what he could "see" through the material, etc. It was incredibly gross and unprofessional. I absolutely would NOT hire a company that hires or has leaders who act in a disrespectful way towards women. Please note that the 2-3 Spanish-speaking men were not engaging in this dialogue so I would hope they are not held accountable for one person's distasteful comments.
