This is an update to a review I left back in January 2026. I appreciated that Dr. Willis reached out a number of times to see how they could make this right with me. Considering I still have health concerns that I'd like to correct I felt he provided a sincere concern on how to rectify the situation. As a business owner myself that was is important to me. I am willing to go along with the program designed for me (which is much different than the first time around). I cannot say if it is going to make a difference since it's only been a week. I went to the clinic because they offered a complimentary supposedly comprehensive blood panel. They did not mention until after I scheduled that there would be a $99 fee for Lab interpretation. I figured, okay, they hasn't been up front about it, but $99 isn't much of they actually test for some things and have done insights. However, they spent maybe 3 minutes on my lab results and the rest of the visit was a big sales pitch and pressure to sign a contract right then and there. I have no doubt that they do indeed get done results for some people, but it is cost prohibitive for someone in my position. I thought I did my research on this place before going. I read that they do not prescribe medication, but they try to get to the root of the issue by performing extensive testing. I was feeling really hopeful going into my initial consult because I'm so tired of getting the runaround from other doctors and just being given medication. I really thought this place was going to help me. Turns out, it was one big sales pitch. There were about 4 red flags before the final one that sealed the deal for me. After telling me about all these great things they can do for me, I asked "what's the cost?". His response..." we will get to that ". Immediate no from me. He tells me about the 28 day detox, the supplements, and how he thinks I would be a great candidate for the 4 month treatment plan. He then shows me a paper with prices. A 4 month plan for labs, supplements, and a grocery list is $500/month for 24 months (totaling $12,000). When I told him I could not afford or commit to that, he offered the 3 month plan ($400/month for 24 months). Wow. What a steal. Again, I told him I could not commit to that. Then he pulls out another paper where I had an option to pay over $3,000. I said I would need to consult with my fiancée before making a financial commitment like this. He continued to pressure me saying "does he know about your health issues? Does he support you? If he supports you, don't you think he'd want you to do what's good for your health?". Gross. When I walked out of the office, I sat in my truck and did more digging. Turns out, everyone is a candidate for the 4 month treatment plan, and everyone should do the 28 day detox with supplements (regardless of your health issues). Also, they apparently threatened someone with legal action for posting a bad review. Shaadyyyy!! Moral of the story....don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. Find a real doctors office that will actually help you and not send you away with supplements and a grocery list. read more

After reading some great reviews on this business, had an initial consultation today at Advanced Functional Medicine that went very well, and though I have not signed up for the program, I may in the future. The office is very beautiful, staff are friendly and courteous, and I appreciated the water and tea station. The representative who did my consultation was very courteous, and low pressure, which I really appreciated. He had reviewed my medical history that I had provided previously and was very interested in hearing what my goals would be for the program. He gave me a ball park total figure of what it would cost, let me know that financing is flexible, and that the program is all-inclusive, with patients checking in every 2 weeks. However, I received nothing in writing to take home. Also, it would be most helpful to know who the providers are and their credentials, and a cost breakdown of the program, none of which are on the website other than the owner. As a health professional myself, I feel it's important to know these things up front and not after signing up for a financial commitment . I got a lot out of my 4 month program with Dr. Susy. She's wonderful. I was able to eliminate a lot of toxins from my system, and clean up my gut health. I didn't achieve all my weight loss goals, but I did drop 18 lbs overall. I feel a lot better and am in maintenance now. I intend to continue with my supplement routine and blood work. Went through a series of baseline exams to understand my starting point and how to tackle my issues based on data. I have much more awareness of where I stand on the heath continuum! AFM is the "gold standard" of medical care which sets them apart from traditional primary care providers. Traditional PCM's manage health and chronic illnesses by utilizing HEDIS (The Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set which is a tool used by more than 90 percent of U.S. health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service). Some think of HEDIS as a "one size fits all" standard of care. It's a great preventative tool, however AFM surpasses by leaps and bounds what HEDIS measures. How often have you had your adrenals checked, your omega profile checked, your neurotransmitters checked, a complete hormone profile checked, and your microbiome checked, an Alzheimers genetic? Those are just a few of the tests offered by AFM that PCM's typically do not and will not order; partly due to lack of insurance approval. I have been suffering with symptoms ever since I got a virus two years ago I have been to several doctors, including gastroenterologist and no one can find out what was wrong with me advance functional medicine took several blood tests, spit tests, poop tests and did way more tests of the blood then my doctors did. They found multiple things wrong with me that my doctors doctors didn't find and the gastroenterologist didn't do the proper testing to find out that I had multiple bad bacteria, including H. pylori in my stomach. With a claim of 96% success i had to check it out. No they do not have a new brand of snake oil. They use science in the form of blood and other tests to find the cause of issues, then decide upon the treatment path if any. In theory it could work. What the free chicken dinner gave me was an opportunity to pay $$$ for a session to learn what the costs are of the tests and if what i have is a condition they believe they will have success with. If all doctors could choose their patients like this their success rate would skyrocket. I went to advanced functional medicine after being sick for over a year with chronic fatigue, daily headaches, body aches, and a seemingly constant cold. I felt like I had no immune system. I had developed chronic sinusitis and could barely breathe through my nose. As a 34 year old mother of two young boys, I had to get better. I had been seeing my regular western medicine doctor since my symptoms started. They ran all the tests and referred me to numerous specialists. None of them could find anything wrong with me. I am so full of gratitude for Dr. Willis and his team. I came to Dr. Willis's office at the end of 2022 with a diagnosis of interstitial cystitis. My quality of life was at an absolute zero. I was in agonizing pain 24 hours a day and only able to eat plain oatmeal and plain salmon. I wanted to give up. I can't thank the team at Advanced functional medicine enough for getting me on track with my health. I've had a total reset with their help . I came to them feeling defeated and on my own I was unable to get to the root cause of my health issues. I started with them in February 1, 2023 at my highest weight. Feeling exhausted I had joint pain, some serious skin/body rashes, no allergist or immunologist couldn't figure out. It's been about eight months now, I reached my goal weight and have been maintaining it . Plus I have not had any breakouts or rashes or any reactions on my skin. My pain has improved and I am continuing to eat a plant-based diet and use the supplements recommended. Plus they provided a ton of support if needed. I started my journey with Advanced Functional Medicine (AFM) in December 2023. My issue involved a chronic cough that I have had for over 13 years. After hearing Dr. Willis at one of his presentations, my husband and I felt comfortable pursuing a consultation. The consultation was informative, and we were advised that the program that they recommended would take approximately four months. We were not 100% sure about making the commitment ($$$$$) so we spoke by phone to Dr. Willis and he told my husband and I that he felt AFM could successfully render me relief from my chronic cough. He said, given all the information that we provided (including previous test results), that he felt confident that if I followed their program that I would indeed see great results. Obviously, we were hoping to fall into the "96% success rate" promoted by Dr. Willis during his presentation (and listed on their website). The investment for this program was not cheap by any means, but after careful deliberation, my husband and I felt it was worth the investment given all the previous failures I had experienced with different remedies provided by a variety of doctors. I followed the program as instructed by AFM, starting with a one-month cleanse, followed by prescribed supplements and dietary instructions. Throughout the program I experienced some fairly mild improvements, perhaps 20% relief, regarding my coughing issue - this was not close to the results that we had hoped for. To me, it felt like there were not a lot of changes made over the four-month program - just a few supplement tweaks every other week, with very few food changes. Once I completed the four-month program, I had one last visit to AFM and advised my rep that I felt like I was one of the "4% to not succeed". To say the least I was very disappointed. I would also like to point out that at no time during any of my AFM visits (nine of them) did Dr. Willis ever come in to go over how I was doing with the program, or even stop by to say "hello". I found this to be quite strange since I saw him there in his office a lot. One would think, perhaps at the halfway point and certainly at the end of the program, that Dr. Willis would want to speak with me regarding my progress, but this never happened - especially since he knew that I was hesitant to do the program initially. In summary, knowing what I know now, I would have passed on this four-month AFM program. I did not feel like there was a significant positive change for my chronic cough. It has been a couple of weeks since I completed the four-month program and I am still not seeing any additional improvements with the last supplements that I went home with. Please note: I am very happy for the people that have had luck on their program - it just did not work well for me. The best thing that did happen is that I lost 14 pounds without any effort.
