I arrived home one evening to learn that the garage door wouldn't open - it kept going up a few inches, then closed immediately...over and over again. After doing a bit of research online I learned that one of the torque springs had broken. I spent a bit of time researching the job and ultimately decided I didn't want to tackle it myself, so I started looking for a local company to do the replacement job for me. I had no recommendations from anyone, so I started reviewing websites. I visited a few before landing on Advanced Door's website. While the website was well done, it didn't make me suspect that I'd be paying for their marketing, so I continued reading the reviews. I was impressed with the reviews and decided we would contact them. I knew I'd be starting the next day early and would not be able to contact them myself, so I gave my wife the number and asked her to take on the project. She called at 8:00 AM and they had a guy out in a few hours. The service team did have to make a custom spring for our garage door, so they did have to come back, but it was not much later the same day before they were back to finish the job. Before I was home from work the job was done. I did not price compare with other companies, but the repair job seemed consistent with what I would expect based on time spent and cost of parts. I had Advanced Door visit me twice this month -- once to replace broken guide cables on my garage door (I had them replace the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door during the first visit also) and then a second time to replace a broken trolley on my opener. While it was a real bite to have 2 repairs hit in less than 10 days, my experience with Advanced Door was outstanding. They were extremely responsive, with same-day service on my first repair, which was greatly appreciated since with a broken cable, I couldn't even get the door raised in order to get our cars out to get to work and school; and next-day service on the 2nd repair for the broken trolley. On our 2nd visit, the technician also replaced our rollers at cost, and waved the service visit fee, because he felt like the roller replacement should have been suggested on the first repair. They did an outstanding job on both visits. I also had them replace a broken spring on my door in May 2012 and I was thoroughly satisfied with their visit and service on that occasion also. I had Ryan and his crew at Advanced Door build and install 2 cedar garage doors in 2011. They are beautiful and we've received many compliments on them. They upgraded the looks of the whole property! The doors have worked perfectly for 6 years. Recently the big door's bottom aluminum weatherstrip channel was damaged. Mason responded quickly; repaired the door, was efficient, polite, friendly and was he was done quickly, with the door sealing perfectly, all for a very reasonable charge. He also reprogrammed our openers, and lubricated the tracks, and checked everything over. What impresses me about this company is that their installation was flawless, their product beautiful and 6 years(!) later their customer service and repair was as perfect as it gets. When I called, Landon listened to my description of the problem, diagnosed the likely cause (a broken spring), and provided a price estimate for the replacement parts and service charge. I was able to schedule an appointment right away. When the technician arrived, he quickly completed the repair and even took care of some minor finishing issues that were unrelated to the problem with the springs. I recommend Advanced Door for your garage door needs. The spring on my 12-year-old door broke last weekend. I left a message with them and received a prompt call-back early Monday morning (that doesn't always happen). Their technician was at my house by that afternoon. He replaced the springs and checked the other systems. I agreed to some additional replacements of worn-out parts, especially because they offered a lifetime warranty on everything that was installed. I definitely love that part! We had a double garage door broken. 2 guys from Advanced Door, LLC came, they estimate the work without telling us to change the full door and still telling us that it will still work. That is a big plus! They give us a quote right away, did the work in half an hour and it was perfect. They are very reasonable in their pricing. I checked this company against some others listed on Angie's list and Advanced Door was a better in price, even compared to others with a coupon. My garage door spring snapped the night before. I gave Advanced Door a call at 8:00 am and they were at my house by 10:00 am. My service professional was personable and informative.
