For me, the pain was minimal. I had a bit of swelling and bruising, which is normal. My temporary implants look great. If you've ever thought about implants, Harmon Dental is the only place to go. Dr. Harmon drilled a hole in a tooth NEXT TO the repair site (he was to remove roots from a tooth…read morethat had a crown on it, the crown fell off). He saw the x-rays of the area and discussed them with me, there was NO HOLE in the tooth he damaged at that time. Immediately after the surgery, I asked for a mirror to see what he had done---i.e during the procedure I felt pressure and discomfort from a drill, I moaned in pain, he moved away from that location and continued to drill on a different area. As soon as he was "finished," I asked for a mirror to see the "work." Despite the gauze, blood and saliva, I saw a hole in a tooth and mistook it for a filling that I thought must have come out during his "work" which would have been awful ( 2 teeth away from the target tooth). When I got home and looked at the area, the filling I thought was gone was intact HOWEVER, I was right when I pointed the matter out to Harmon which he HAD TO KNOW ABOUT unless he's blind; HE DRILLED INTO THE WRONG TOOTH!!!! Then he and his office girls tried to DENY what I was saying. The office girls HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS SAYING WHEN I SAID "HE DRILLED A HOLE IN WRONG TOOTH." THEY DENIED having any x-ray of the area, which is absolutely STUPID; they had given me a copy of the x-ray at my request. Harmon drilled into a good tooth. NOW, I have to find someone to finish the implant and repair the damaged tooth, and I have go through the needle sticks, the numbness, the bloody gums, the pain, the driving in insane traffic to get to the office and back home, AND THE BAD MEMORY OF MY BAD CHOICE OF picking an implant specialist. I'm lucky he didn't drill into the pulp core of the wrong tooth, he came real close. I thought, he wanted to sell me TWO implants, and he was creating the need for the second implant by damaging a good tooth. If I were all of you out there, I would avoid this implant surgeon if you need an implant, or any other work on your teeth. I am sick over this and trying hard to control my anger. In my previous employment, I repaired damaged metal on the microscopic level, which is a lot harder than cutting gums and drilling teeth.

I was able to get a next day appointment for a cleaning and exam which was a fast turnaround. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful as it was my first time as a new patient. Dr. Adam came back to examine my situation and gave me great insights. Some of which I never considered I needed to work on or try out. The cleaning was simple and easy. In the past I've had painful situations where the cleanings had been too intense and caused soreness and blessing. However at Cobalt it was a pleasant and fast experience. After I arrived I was taken back to my room and assessed by the dental assistant. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. The doctor came in and proceeded to evaluate my tooth. He was able to replace the cap and I had no pain or problems since. I appreciate their quick attention to my needs and were able to fix the problem. A office staff came in with a breakdown of the procedures and costs. She gave me the total and my payment options. The expense was a little more than I expected but it was an emergency so I guess it will all be worth it in the long run. I am sorry I didn't catch the name of the Dr that I saw but he was very young and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

The dentist was so rough with me it caused extra pain, was frustrated with me because i wasnt numbing easily . Sent me home & said he cant help. I got the tooth removed same day from my regular dentist which lets me know he wasn't numbing me correctly and should go back to school . I really enjoyed the care I received at Carroll Dental Care. Morgan was the hygienist that saw me and she did an excellent job. She was thoughtful in her approach while cleaning and examining my teeth. Dr. Newman was also awesome. He was very careful and thorough in examining my teeth. He also took the time to explain his observations and findings and gave his suggestions for the next steps. Because of the time he spent explaining everything, I was able to make a better decision in my care. I appreciate all the hard work Morgan and Dr. Newman are doing!

Each cleaning and exam always ended with a warning to have a tooth extracted because of some imminent failure of a crown, old filling or a cracked tooth - none of these teeth were causing pain or other problems, but I was warned that I'd soon be calling "in middle of the night" in agony. WRONG. I still have these teeth nearly five years later! I have a new dentist. Two of my teeth have had the old fillings replaced and two teeth are on the "watch and wait' list for possible crowns. Do your due diligence. ALWAYS get a second opinion on elective procedures.

Dr. Becker was soooo incredibly thorough and intentional about placement/amount used/etc. Typically, I feel like most places go in blind and just guestimate where to inject.
