The staff in the front office are now cheerful and nice, where I experienced a more short and defensive tone in the past. The staff seem happier, and more caring as a result. If you've had a bad experience in the past, maybe give them a chance to show how they have improved. I don't schedule my appointments, as I have failed to remember the dates and had to resolve fees--but when I need to make an appointment, they usually fit me in day-of with one of their very competent professional psychiatrists. I've seen three and they have all provided exemplary service with refills and communication on all relevant fronts.

Dr. Ungson has always had a control freak/ narcissistic complex and never listens to me but I need…read moremy meds so I decided to use the virtual calls so I don't feel so degraded. Today I was talking to Dr. Nick Ungson about increasing my dosage because he weaned me off two other meds that I have been on for many years. I was asking him questions about my new dosage of meds and such and he got mad at me and shook his notepad at me that he was writing on and yelled, " That's what I'm trying to tell you!!!". I then said, " Are you really yelling at me ?". He then got an even bigger attitude because I confronted him about his uncalled for actions. He would not let me speak or answer any questions even after asking them. For example: He asked me if a dosage of one of my meds was 80mg. When I went into my phone notes he said, " No,no, no, if you don't know forget it, I'll look it up later." Why ask if I can't have a few seconds even to answer you? I have been telling my wife since I started seeing him almost 2 years ago that I don't think he is listening to me. I had just told Dr. Ungson today that I stopped taking the meds that he weaned me off four days ago. In his next sentence to me he said, " So it was 2 weeks ago that you stopped taking those meds"?? I then decided that I was going to address him about feeling like he isn't really listening and caring with me as his patient. I then said, "Dr. Ungson, I don't feel like you are listening to me and you didn't let me fully describe how bad I've been for the past month. It has been a living hell you won't even listen to the symptoms I've been suffering with. It almost makes me feel like I need to find a new Dr." So, Ungson replies, " Then that is what you do", as he walks me out of his office and tells the ladies at the front desk that," I'm no longer his patient. " Ungson never did send in my new prescriptions to my pharmacy and I can't believe he was that nasty and asked me to leave over stating how I felt!!!! I HIGHLY ADVISE you to NOT USE DR. Nick Ungson!!! Another thing they do is make everyone wear masks for the Corona Virus which hospitals and airports doesn't even enforce right now. This office will try and call you to change your appointment constantly, or not tell you that you have an appointment and then when you miss it, charge you $60! If I hadn't talked to the office on Monday and just happened to find out that I had an appointment the next day, I would have missed it! Lastly, one other thing that this office does is if you see Dr. Ungson, you MUST talk to their Therapist John! You don't get a choice if you choose therapy or not. You MUST speak to their therapist to get your medications. Lake Center of Hope is a joke and they can be hard to understand with their native language being Filipino. I sure hope this helps some good folks out there from making a major mistake using these people!!!

I came in for the "free consultation" but was handed intake forms to fill out first, which triggered me when I got to the childhood trauma questions and started crying. Dr. Brady took me in for the consultation quickly after that. Both he and Tanya were very nice, but everything seemed so rushed. Dr. Brady quickly explained that he was $50 an hour, and what I needed was Tanya's hypnotherapy, which was $150 an hour and both were tax deductable. He added that I would feel much better just with 4 sessons. I actually am feeling better alway with just one, except that we didn't discuss the sliding scale! So I called afterwards am awaiting his return call. I'll keep readers posted!!
