Rodney and Lori are a cut above most folks and they will take care of your needs, and stand by their work. I needed a new transmission and Rodney took a ride and figured out what I needed, and gave me a great price to replace my transmission parts. I drove it for a couple hundred miles and all was well when I brought it in for a checkup before heading across the country. Two-three months later there was an issue with some part of the new transmission and I lost power. I called Rodney and he stood by his work, but told me he would take care of it. He paid for a tow to a shop in California and the next day we had a brand new full transmission dropped in - at no charge to us at all!!!! We were blown away that he was such a stand up guy and took care of us. I will never use anyone but Rodney at Saunders transmission for any service on my vehicles from now on. I've read the other reviews before I brought it in the first time and that was the complete opposite of my experience. In both cases my total was exactly what he told me he would charge. With the first one, I was even worked with when I couldn't afford the sudden expense of a rebuild. When I drove them crazy with every little question and even asking them to check out a smell they were patient. (Was just fluid dripped when it was filled) Even gave me his cell number to contact if I was concerned again. This time an additional bearing was found that should be replaced and although it took another day, he honored the price he told me initially instead of adding for the additional time being taken. Every place will have unfortunate reviews because it tends to be a bad experience that drives people to leave them. I was confident enough in my first experience that they were my first call when I needed something years later. Take the negative with a grain of salt.

Had the case seized in the middle of that trip, I would have been absolutely screwed. Mark was not only fair in his quote but, he got a used part at a decent price as well. My car runs quieter than I ever remember. He was very understanding, forthright and even let me take a look at the old part that they had pulled out and gave the pinion a jiggle to show me how loose it was and what exactly failed. As a man that has worked with my hands building and fixing things my entire adult life, I really appreciated the honesty and integrity. He came so highly recommended that I felt comfortable doing that although I was a bit uneasy at first. I left a laundry list of things to do and issues I was having, and I just kind of gave him free will to make the car right. You need someone like Jason with the old Saabs because you simply cannot find some parts, and he either has them, or has the connections to get them custom fabricated. I do some work on my own, but Jason's knowledge of Saabs is second to none. He truly has a passion for the brand, and has a passion for his customers cars, he treated mine like it was his own. He is very particular. For example unknown to me my Turbo Exhaust pipe was needing to be replaced. The only ones he could find came off other Saab 900's. They were functional but rusted. My car has no rust anywhere so he had the part custom fabricated by a machinist. The second example was my front headlight mounting brackets were busted, lights pointed down and everything. No part exists to replace it so he sent specs to a guy and had them made with a 3d printer. His level of detail is second to none. It took him 10 weeks, at first I didn't think it would take that long, but when you look at the effort that was made to visit salvage yards looking for parts, and parts custom made, I would have waited 10 months. We are truly blessed to have Jason and Elite Motors in this area. I drove a little over and hour to see him but honestly I would have my car shipped across country to have him work on it. You really can't go wrong here. He's honest, reasonable, all around a outstanding experience. Job well done sir!
