A little about my journey: after gastric bypass surgery, I lost 80 pounds. Between that weight loss and two pregnancies, I wasn't happy with my body anymore. On July 23, 2025, I decided to have my first plastic surgery with a different surgeon. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with my results. Just a few months later, my body changed for the worse, and I felt frustrated and discouraged. That's when I found Dr. Tower. From the moment I met her, I knew she was different. During my consultation, she spent nearly two hours listening to my concerns, explaining everything in detail, and making sure she understood exactly what I wanted. I never once felt rushed. I decided to have my revision surgery with Dr. Tower on February 11, 2026, just six months after my first surgery. She replaced my breast implants and performed liposuction on my abdomen, and I honestly could not be happier with my results. The reviews…read moreare great so I felt like this would be a good choice and so far after two appointments, I really like this clinic and Dr Mailer. Before coming to Sand Lake Dermatology I had a biopsy at another clinic and was scheduled to have a carcinoma removed. I was unable to have this done at the other clinic so I booked the first appt available with Sand Lake Dermatology which was set for the end of July. Once I was able to get my records sent to the clinics, a staff member called me right away and moved my appointment to have a carcinoma removed from my face to last week. Because of the interactions I had over the phone and online with this clinic, I felt comfortable having this clinic remove the carcinoma even though I had not even seen the clinic nor doctor. While I was mildly aware of what the procedure entailed, the staff that prepared me answering questions and numbing me(Marisol and Aaron) were great and made me feel comfortable. Dr Mailer was just as nice and made me feel comfortable. I was of course aware of the dr performing the procedure, I couldn't see it and didn't feel it. The procedure is called Moh's procedure where they typically cut away the determined margin around the affected area, bandage you up and let the patient wait in the lobby while the removed specimen is being reviewed in the onsite lab. If the lab determines that not enough was removed to show clear margins, the patient is brought back in and the dr removes more repeating the process until margins are clear. In my case, the dr removed all that needed to be removed leaving clear margins so after the lab results returned after a couple of hours, I was brought back into the procedure room and the dr proceeded to stitch up my wound applying dissolving stitched under the skin and removable stitches outside. My appointment for follow up and outer stitches removal was set for one week later( this past Tuesday). I was prescribed a heavy antibiotic and advised to keep Vaseline on the stitched up area and keep it covered with a bandage that is changed daily. Once I was stitched up, I mentioned a growth I have noticed on my eyelid and the dr suggested that on my follow up appointment she would take a biopsy. So this past Tuesday I had stitches removed, the area where I had stitches seems to be healing well and it doesn't appear that there will be a heavy scar. I am happy to see this as the area that was removed was quite large and the area stitched was quite long. The nurse, Natalie numbed my face, the stitches were removed and I didn't feel anything. They also numbed my eyelid so the biopsy could be taken. This is a sensitive area so this was a bit more intense but it went quickly and the biopsy was done. I will likely have results next week. What could have been a high anxiety first procedures (I've never had any surgery or stitches) turned out to be a pretty smooth experience. I recommend consideration of Sand Lake Dermatology as the staff and Dr Mailer were great, the waiting room is comfortable and even the staff that manages scheduling, check in, check out, nurses, physicians assistants all made me feel important, individual and taken care of. I wish all medical experiences could be similar to what I experienced.

I was provided a treatment plan and told I had a 6 month window to book. I decided to wait until after the summer to proceed with any sort of laser tx due to the sun etc. Shortly after my consultation, I started having some medical issues that required further testing. After MANY appointments with my primary care provider ( and specialists) , they did not feel I should be proceeding with the laser services at this time - or at least until I had further testing completed and they were comfortable clearing me. I reached out to the office and let them know about this issue. When it became apparent I may not be able to book within their " 6 month window" I reached out again and requested my 150$ deposit back so I did not loose it. At this point the office told me it was not a " deposit " but rather a consultation fee for the 1st appt . I have both text messages from the time of booking and paperwork that never states this - in fact it listed it as a deposit for my initial appt. I truly feel this should have been disclosed at the time of booking. Not once did anyone attempt to have any sort of resolution - I was never offered to have the deposit roll over past 6 months even if the procedure quote increased.Basically I wasted 150$ with this office . I received one response from Kellie and my other two emails went ignored. I am writing this review so that other patients can just be clear on the fact that if anything happens ( not a candidate , medical issues etc ) , you will lose your money that you put down for the inital visit. Had I known upfront about this , I would not have been as upset, however there was varying information provided to me and I feel they did not disclose their policies correctly. I recieved a response from my Google review and was appalled at their accusation of bullying. I will show how they responded 1- I am attaching a picture of the email I sent. I absolutely never bullied anyone. I was respectful and cordial with my email communication. 2. They mentioned investigating the information I was told but then also state later on "if I was even a visitor at the practice ". LET'S TALK ABOUT SONO BELLO at ORLANDO FL !…read more I went to Sono Bello Orlando for full body endolaser consultation with Daisy in June 24, 2025 and Daisy told me they don't perform the procedure I was interested. instead Daisy give me the option of liposuction "is better option with best results" she said. I told to Daisy that my big concern about the liposuction was the time to recover and how easy I am to bruise and scar and how difficult is for me to recover from them. FIRST RED FLAG: Daisy quoted me $8,000 and scheduled for the liposuction procedure on July 2nd, 2025 @6:00am. But why $8,000 for only inner thighs and knees lipo? SECOND RED FLAG: Sono Bello scheduled the procedure July 2nd @6:00am and they get confused my appointment with of another female patient appointment. THIRD RED FLAG: July 2nd, I get a pre-lipo procedure review with Dr. Colon (female), and we "review" the procedure areas but she was so in rush that she extend the area (maybe to justify the cost) and totally forgot to mark my most concern or complaint area in my upper inner thighs which wasn't treated in the lipo. I will explain to you later about my next day experience. FOURTH RED FLAG: when they gave me the oral sedative tablets, and I asked myself why do they sedate me here with sedative tablets? I suppose to be laying in the surgery bed, maybe is because is only thighs and knees lipo? but why sedative tablets? FIFTH RED FLAG: My big error was not to questioned the kind of sedation at that moment, and ask where was the operating room? SIXTH RED FLAG: They sedate me without first seeing and being located in the operating room. And now I comprehend, and the reason was so obvious, it was because they enabled a room to do these liposuctions in their office. I half woke up when my son was helping me go up stairs in my home to settle me down in my bed. I had so much sedation that I finally woke up from this sedation the next day, and most important they didn't supervised me during post procedure sedation recovery time after the patient finally wakes up in post surgery recovery area. For you information, persons with low normal blood pressure and with low normal heart rate can be struggle under that kind of sedation without medical supervision. When I finally woke up from sedation the next day, guess what? they performed on my legs the liposuction and Dr. Colon didn't lipo treated my upper thighs area, the reason I agreed for this traumatic procedure. LIPOSUCTION IS A SURGICAL PROCEDURE and Dr. Colon at Sono Bello Orlando used a huge cannula in my thighs and knees, four huge incisions in total, when I told Daisy how easily I am to form scars. The area trauma was immeasurable, and the pain was intolerable. FYI: LIPOSUCTION is supposed to be performed under anesthesia, and performed only by a qualified Surgeon. I immediately contact them about the damage they did on me, and Sono Bello front desk help me to get a consult in October 2nd, 2025 to discuss my complaints and in the appointment the Dr told me it was healing as it supposed to. BRAIN WASH... the results gots worse and worse during the time. In Dec 9, 2025 I had the 6 months post results check-up appoinment. The "healing as it supposed to" Dr. Colon told me in Oct 2, the final results was my horrible uneven waves skin appearance, the untreated fat area and saggy skin in the inner upper thighs (the reason I accept the lipo), and the three large fibrosis (1 each thighs, and 1 left knee) results. BUT... What was Dr. Colon final response? That CAN'T BE FIXED. This made my nightmare come true. The Dr. tried BRAIN WASH again "But your body contour has improved a lot", and I answered her "yes, but that improvements are all on me because I lost 15Lbs", "the day after procedure I lost only 1Lb of weight", "my body is improving except the areas Sono Bello treated, which are getting worse and worse with the time, because you left untreated areas and the waves are inadequately treated areas." After this last appointment with Sono Bello@12/9/2025 I worked in a lots of manual massages, a lots of cavitation massages which hurts horrible in the fibrosis area, and of course lifting weights... I will say my thighs waves, thighs sagging skin, and left knee results are mildly improved. Meaning I have to continue with the manual and cavitation massages... Thanks to my diet and exercises my body has changed and improved considerably in just over a year, except my legs areas that I tried with Sono Bello liposuction. NEVER DO LIPOSUCTION in your extremities, you'll regret it. I have to admit, they are extremely nice, BUT... don't let anybody to brain wash you. Always ask and request a written evidence about the procedure you are requesting and the guarantees they are telling you. And don't let anybody to scam and hurt you. Instead, Dr. Velez provided a complete physical exam, obtained a full medical and surgical history, and screened me for a few health conditions based on my intake forms and family history. Needless to say, I was impressed with her approach this visit. Not only does she provide comprehensive care, she also knows how to build rapport. She entered the room with a friendly smile, used little medical jargon, which improves communication for many, and was very approachable. If I were to stay in Orlando, she would be my primary care physician! Velez Family Health is located in Dr. Phillips in an office building.
