Now that I have both of my teenagers at UC Santa Barbara I can stop to thank College Planning…read moreSource and their entire staff. I can't even begin to tell you how much you they have helped our family. With two UC degrees, I thought I was pretty smart until I tried to help my kids apply to colleges, and then apply for Financial Aid. Was I wrong!!!! They filled the void of both high school counselors and financial aid counselors. Each of my kids started out really knowing very little about where to apply, what their real chances were of getting in, what a particular college would be like, etc... CPS was able to build rapport with them and help them come to smart decisions on where to apply, how to set their expectations and then fill out the college applications. They went back and forth so many times helping with the college essays, what to put on the applications, etc. That in itself paid for the fee. Everything else was like icing on the cake. Also, let's face it, filling out the FAFSA is like doing your own taxes, you need to hire someone who knows what they are doing - and College Planning Source knows what they are doing. There is no question that they were able to significantly help us reduce the cost of attendance for our kids. I tell everyone that I know with prospective college students that they need to call t right away. Working with them was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I felt completely taken advantage of. I paid hundreds of dollars for this service, only to discover that there was essentially no meaningful service provided after the initial sales pitch. I spent months trying to get help and get answers, with no response. I ultimately had to file a claim with my credit card company, and thankfully, I was able to receive a full reimbursement after the company ignored my attempts to resolve the issue. I'm usually someone who is very cautious and doesn't fall for scams, which is why this was especially frustrating. The sales approach was extremely sophisticated and convincing, but the actual service did not deliver what was promised. It delivered nothing. Do not waste your money on this. Save yourself the hundreds of dollars and the months of frustration.

Allison was a life saver for my son! Let into the game of the college application process last fall…read morewe agreed as a family that my math/science son would benefit from some support in writing his college essays. Allison was very flexible and accommodating with our needs, working with my son's schedule and his last minute requests to meet to review his drafts. She guided him on how to organize the essay but fully respected and supported the topics he wanted to write about, which I think made for well written and authentic essays to really reveal who my son is. In this last unprecedented college application year where SAT and ACT tests weren't even considered at most schools, essays became that much more important. And with higher than average numbers of applicants, I really think my non-writing son's essays really were what made the difference in him getting accepted to many of the schools he applied to including UCLA where he will go this fall. Thank you Allison for the guidance!

Initially I thought we still had to pay a couple hundred dollars but they changed me only $20 ( $700 value) Staff is very responsive and teachers are great. They had a Pizza party at the end of the summer boot camp to celebrate all hard work. I thought it was a nice gesture.

I can't recommend Rob and Passport highly enough. Before we first spoke during the spring of my…read moreson's junior year, I met with two other potential college counselors. One was immediately negative when she saw the list of schools he was considering. She was convinced that every school on it would be a reach and seemed determined to make him, and us, be more realistic. Since then, I've had several friends describe similar experiences. During that initial conversation, my husband was listening in the background, and we agreed that while it was important to build a balanced list, we did not want our son working with someone so pessimistic or limiting. We wanted a counselor who would be on his side, who believed he had a chance, while also encouraging him to apply broadly and thoughtfully. Rob immediately brought exactly that energy. He encouraged our son to dream big and work hard on the strongest possible application, while also gently reminding him that he would be fine wherever he ended up. He was always available for advice and support and never seemed frustrated or fed up, even when our son kept changing his mind about his future course of study. When it came time to refine his essays, Rob paired him with Hannah, a talented young editor who had attended our son's dream school and offered invaluable insight into how to frame his essays. By the time he submitted his EA application, I was confident it was as strong as it could be. We were absolutely thrilled when he was accepted. Throughout a stressful process, Rob and Hannah felt like the best possible teammates, always on our son's side, which was everything I'd hoped for. I'm so grateful to have worked with them, and I can't recommend them highly enough.

After a discouraging first attempt at applying independently, Ryan's approach to helping me reapply to PA school was both reassuring and strategic. He took the time to thoroughly review my prior application, identifying areas of strength and areas for improvement. Instead of starting from scratch, he skillfully built upon what I had, refining it to highlight my strengths and address any weaknesses. I was nervous I would have to start completely from scratch after my hard work the first cycle and only having a month and a half to reapply, but Ryan recycled all my hard work to truly highlight the important things in my application. Thanks to Ryan's expertise and support, I am thrilled to say that I have been accepted into PA school. His dedication to his students' success is evident in every interaction, and I am immensely grateful for the impact he has had on my journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Ryan at Passport Admissions to anyone seeking guidance on their path to PA school.
