Instead of driving car back home to triage it and in fear of making the problem worse or causing a worse situation on the highway, we stopped into Troy Meinkee and Aaron greeted us immediately outside. Asked if he could help. We explained what was going on to him. He put the van up on the lfit and found the problem within seconds. The a\c line was clogged and had just unclogged itself. They…read moreoriginally tried an aftermarket part which would not stay in place and I was stuck in the middle of the road unable to move anywhere. I called Dobbs in no more than 10mins they arrived with a mechanic in Tow. He drove my car back to the facility, they ordered the factory part which fit more snug and held on better and everything has been great since. I have had service done here several times and though sometimes it seems costly the service and lifetime warranty make it worth it. They always do a really great job!

I was called being told I had a bump in my front right tire but they did not provide photos or evidence of that. Tire was driving perfectly fine after the alignment. They also said the struts were leaking heavily. There was no liquid of any kind leaking from the bottom of my vehicle before or after picking and dropping it off. Eric was the one who charged us and was assigned to my vehicle. He was not compliant or kind in anyway. Heavily doubt I will by coming up here and suggesting this location to anyone.

Warning: Do NOT Trust This Shop Got an oil change here in…read moreJan 2025. Hours later, my engine failed -- turns out they didn't reinstall the oil ring or cap, and all the oil leaked out. The owner, Tom, dragged out repairs for over 3 months, blamed everything but the real issue, and tried to avoid going through his insurance. He even told me to lie to Mitsubishi about a recall to avoid fixing the damage. A Car-X location has confirmed my vehicle was unsafe to drive and documented serious damage (axle throwing grease, burned mount hole, etc.). I also have additional findings from a Transmission repair shop. I chose Troy Car Care based on a Groupon and the Napa Car Care Center sign on their site, but Napa told me they've had no affiliation since 2022 -- totally misleading. I'm filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General. Save yourself the stress -- go somewhere reputable.
