Over the years things have become more pricey, as has anywhere else that's touristy, but I will say they have some very cool and unusual things they carry that if I did have loads of extra cash I would purchase! Like these really cool heads, all the fairy things, leather products. Have some pictures included. The one thing we went in for this year a couple weeks ago was to check out the new bar. They even have a pretty good size outdoor patio that unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of because of the rainy weather. It was still open for late October though which was nice. The bartender was extremely nice that day(we were in town from Oct 23-26)and very knowledgeable about the Zehnder family, Bavarian Inn, etc. It was a nice conversation we had for sure since I've been coming to Frankenmuth for so many years. Going off the Fall special drink list, I tried the Cranky Mule, my daughter tried the Frankenstein Monster one. For $8, it was a good size and decent price. No complaints they were both good! Will be going back here for a quick drink next time shopping here again. One special note, I believe there is a coupon for a free gift in the visitors coupon book. The minimum purchase has gone up, but the free gift has always been something nice here.

When we came to pick up the dress, we were told it had been quality checked and there were no issues . Fast forward to prom night. Before she even left for prom, the seam of the slit had popped and opened about half an inch and a seam in the side had popped open. About an hour into prom, one of the straps had broken loose and had to be safety pinned. Incredibly poor quality for such an expensive dress. I called the store for support and while the person at the front desk was nice, she said her manager told her they couldn't do anything about it. I wasn't even looking for a refund, just for them to have their seamstress fix the dress since it essentially broke in 3 places within a couple of hours of her putting it on (and not because it was too small for her). They told me if I wanted it fixed, I would have to pay for it to be repaired. Even then, it's now been 2-3 weeks since sending pictures to get a quote on that repair and I haven't heard anything back. Do better and stand behind your products, especially with your prices! We won't be shopping here again.

We got there 40 minutes before they closed, which full disclosure, made me feel bad but our schedules are what they are. We were immediately treated, given the run down and sent off into the rows of dresses. As we selected dresses, our associate, I think her name was Zoe's, took them to a fitting room. Once we selected 5, my daughter and Zora headed to the dressing room. Zora took the time to "alter" each dress after tying, snapping, zipping, etc and after a few dresses, Zora started looking for ones she thought we'd like. Her suggestions were fantastic. She found several choices we loved and was able to show us alternative color options. As closing time quickly approached, I asked if she minded if we stayed and she was very accommodating, assuring us they were staying late to set up for something, insisting she didn't mind. Unfortunately we didn't find THE dress. We did find a contender and the store is keeping it on file so we can just call if we opt to say "yes to the dress". I was incredibly impressed with all the staff, the selection and the service. I wish we would have found out about this place 4 homecoming's ago. The best part is that they will not sell the same dress again to anyone that goes to the school, not even in another color. I hope we can find another day to go back, revisit the dress and make it happen, if for no other reason than Zora deserves the sale. And I hope I'm getting her name right.

Rau's has pretty much every souvenir with every name on shot glasses, pocket knives, keychains and the like. If you have a typical name, you will find a magnet with your name at Rau's. This shop also has a lot of old-fashioned candy, which you can scoop out and put into bags. You'll also find some local artwork for sale here, as well as lots of local Michigan products.

Yes these labels were so that the 3 bags of rose petals I purchased at full retail price (no price discount or even free shipping for a $400 order) were left with truly disgusting labels still on. I opened a box with beads completely covered in white and yellow plastic shreds of old labels!! Who sells and sends to a customer labels that disintegrates even without being touched? I mean while you were packing it must have dawned on you that these bead labels looked bad (like really really bad - yellowing and peeling). So no I don't recommend this small bead shop - I have purchased from hundreds of Etsy Shops and bead shops across the US. And never ever have I encountered such a complete disregard for selling an item(s) that were covered in crap. It is old disgusting labels remove them for goodness sake's before you send to the customer who paid top dollar. No excuses! For full price beads go somewhere else. I have a pretty large collection of crystals so I am familiar with the pricing. However, I do realize that everything in the shops nearby can be a little pricey too especially because it is a very high tourist spot.
