5mins hair cut for $150!
Ilknur G.

Oh boy... What an experience with Nora! It was the worst haircut ever. Here is why: - She doesn't know how to cut hair, especially a curly one, period. I am not sure if all these reviews are even real.. I have used two prior deva hair cut certified hairdressers and it was nothing like this! - She is unprofessional and money oriented rather than caring for customer satisfaction. - She is bad at time management. She started consulting with me 20 mins into our appointment and at the end told me our time is up and she can not fix my hair. I couldn't believe that she was going to send me with that hair. I thought she was going to make adjustments and cut on dry hair which is what deva cut is... When she told me when we were done, my hair was still wet and all uneven. My appointment was at 4. We started consultation and talking about the hair, showing pics etc around 4:15 for about 10 minutes. She cut my hair for only 5-10 mins. (3 big chops and taking the volume out in 3 different spots and little adjustments on the tips). Then wash hair 5 mins. Then dry hair 20mins with that globe looking like machine and the time was up. I had to ask her is this it, are we done she said yes. And starting drying more with a blow dryer but my hair was just getting more frizzy and the cut was looking worse and worse... She just wanted to get rid of me and not try to fix my hair because she didn't know how to... I basically asked her recommendation and let her guide me but at the end she started blaming me saying that "that's what you wanted and you didn't listen to me" and she got all defensive and aggressive all of a sudden! I was pretty shocked how she behaved tbh. I couldn't believe. For all of that she charged me $150 which is insane. I had no problem paying that or even more if the service was right but unfortunately for 5-10 mins hair cut and a really bad one I was surprised she was charging me that or not apologizing or trying to fix my hair...I was asking her help like okay whatever is done done, how can we fix it and she was I can't your appointment is over. What the heck!? She didn't offer me any help, trying to fix it or discount infact I was threatened by her.(I told her I don't want to pay for this or pay at least half, because I have to go elsewhere to get it fixed so she was like you better pay otherwise you will be regretting etc..!?!) so I didn't want to deal with her anymore and just paid and got out. So... long story short, If you are planning using her services, just don't. I made a mistake of trusting this place and it was a nightmare. Just find another place and do yourself a favor. To see the haircut she gave me, please watch the attached video and see pictures, and decide based on that.

It was my first time coming to this salon and having curly hair it's always a hit or miss when it comes to finding the right stylist. Nori did not let me down. As soon as I walked in, there was such comfortable energy and an all around good vibe of the place. Nori is very personable and you can tell that she loves her job(: The pics don't do justice but trust me, it's been a long time since my hair has felt this healthy lol. Thank you again, Nori! I'll be back!

I went in to see Sofia for a balayage highlight and cut. To start off Sofia was very nice and she explained everything besides the cost until the end. I told her my main concern was the integrity of my hair due to a previous vitamin deficiency and stress I had some pretty extensive hair fall. She started off by cutting my hair. Then she explained the K18 treatment. I was extremely skeptical in the first place as I've had issues with stylists using Olaplex in the past, which I communicated. She insisted it was different than Olaplex.... I was mortified at how much hair was being pulled out from brushing that product through my hair. Had I known I would have never allowed her to put that in my hair! She explained that was natural hair fall because we lose about 100 strands a day.... it was beyond "100 strands"... it was alarming. She continued the service with highlights a toner and a bleach wash. Which again, I was concerned of the condition of my hair, especially in regards to doing a bleach wash. She mentioned it was very minimal damage... she was trying to get out some orange areas that I told her was not necessary as I plan on just cutting them off later but she proceeded to do the bleach wash. After she unfoiled my hair from the highlights, she asked if I was alright, by that point I was just speechless. I was trying to "trust the process" but my gosh I wish I would have left after the hair cut. The orange parts I would have been able to cut off in a couple months she now just reset the whole issue on the top of my head which will take years to grow out and be able to just cut it off. The highlights were extremely orange and I had random dark SPOTS in my hair. Even after the toner it was not going to blend and it was still orange. She now had mentioned the light by her chair are 2 different colors (which they were) so I was hopeful it was just the lighting. Unfortunately it was not. She styled my hair with SO many products I assumed my hair just felt grimey do to the amount of products used. As soon as I got home, I immediately jumped in the shower to try and wash out the products. My hair has never felt like that. It just felt disgusting. I use Oribe Gold Lust and filtered water on my hair so my hair typically feels pretty soft. I'm not one to use product aside from shampoo, conditioner, hair treatments and oil. I heat style my hair at most once every two weeks. I had hoped that my hair feeling like that was just the amount of product but sadly my hair was in worse off condition after cutting off 3+ inches. My hair always feels nice after such a cut. She had mentioned "it takes about 2 weeks for it to feel better" Unfortunately, not the case. I had to wear my hair up in a bun for 2 months until I could get into my usual stylist. The color and condition was unsightly. There was no way in heck I was about to damge my hair further with heat tools especially with my color looking so terrible. You may be wondering... why didn't you go to your "usual stylist"? I needed my hair done before my vacation and my stylist was booked out 3 months. I should have just waited. Sophia did offer to have me come in so she could try to fix it but after that experience, I was worried my hair would be even worse off. She threw me when she said, "it takes a few times to get to know someone's hair"... Splotchy highlights have more to do with technique. I do understand to get to a desired look at times it takes a few visits but my hair looked like I had a friend colored it at home. I appreciate her being open and trying to remedy the issue with a shadow root and adjusting the toner but the original cost was not worth $370 (with tip). I was not informed of any price until after the service. As I mentioned before, there are TWO different lights over the chair I was sitting in. Could that have been a contributing factor? Maybe! Who ever is in charge of the light bulbs at the salon... I would think you would want consistent lighting throughout your salon.

I have come here several times and will continue to be a loyal customer. The whole staff is super cool and sweet. Michelle Underwood has transformed my hair from frizzy no style having curls to a wonderful cut for my curly hair and awesome highlights! I receive lots of compliments. Prices are fair and right there with other salons in Sonoma county. I do not understand any negative reviews about this salon and or the staff. Unless it was fault of their own or just plain bull! Thank you Michelle...

Claudia (on the left) and me -- a very happy client!

I am so lucky to have found Claudia many years ago. She was at another salon and I followed her to Adore. She is utterly fantastic, giving me the exact cut that I desire. I always leave Claudia feeling like a million bucks, and that is because she pays attention to the details, cuts exactly how I want my hair, and styles in perfectly. I can't recommend her highly enough. I ADORE her!

Stylist was kind, but $200 for a basic cut is too much. It also took 2 hours. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back.

Even before I talk about the color I want to lift up that a) they use tech really well (I'm on Zoom calls from one end of the day to the other so picking up the phone and calling someone is super difficult for me most days). They responded to my inquiry through Yelp immediately, forwarded my request on to their stylists, and I had an appointment set up within a half hour max. Ended up with Stephanie and she was wonderful! While she was putting the color in I noticed she didn't apply any protective gel or vaseline ahead of time to protect my skin from the dye. I just figured, "Well, I'm not going to see anyone today, if I'm walking around with a dye headband, it's fine." Well, she didn't NEED to put anything on my skin to protect it because she's that good at what she does! The color came out great -- very natural and healthy looking, and really shiny. And not one drop of dye anywhere except for on the roots where it belonged. On top of all this, Stephanie was super nice, as was everyone who worked there. Loved the ambience, too -- the music was sort of 70s classic rock as was the decor. I'm hoping to be out in this area again in the coming year, and definitely plan to go back to them! Thanks, Stephanie!

After a previous stylist at a different salon completely botched my color, I was in desperate need of a rescue. From the moment I sat in her chair, Angelina made me feel at ease with her warm and professional demeanor. She listened attentively to my concerns and immediately understood what needed to be done. Her expertise was evident as she transformed my hair into something I could be proud of again. :) Plus she gave the best scalp massage! My hair looks and feels amazing, and I've received so many compliments since my visit. Thank you, Angelina, for your exceptional service and for turning a hair disaster into a stunning success. I hate to be that person who leaves bad reviews and starts conflict but I'm very disappointed and unhappy with the service Angelina provided for me. What I wanted and what I got are so different and I understand that it takes time to get the results you desire but when it's this far off that's a little concerning. I booked another hair appointment with the stylist I should have gone to and requested a refund from the owner- to which she replied that Angelina stands by her work and took the time and effort to do my hair so a refund is not an option. They did offer to tone my hair down for me and did give me back the tip I left. However I'm reluctant to have them go near my hair again. It just sucks that they have so much pride and they let that pride get in the way of satisfying their clientele. I could barely afford the hair I got as is and now that's 200 dollars down the drain on top of getting my hair fixed for even more money. I can't speak on any of the other stylists there but what I can say is do your research before booking. There's no hate or ill will against Angelina or the rest of the team. But I am really disappointed they couldn't swallow their pride and make things right :(

I called on Tuesday to book a color appointment and was told the colorist was on vacation, with Friday or Saturday as the next available options. Friday didn't work for me, but I was told Saturday would also be available. I also would've been willing to change my Friday plans to make this all work out. I called back Friday afternoon to follow up and lock in a Saturday morning appointment, based on what I had been told earlier in the week. Instead, I was told they couldn't accommodate me due to the Butter & Eggs Festival. I also received feedback that calling at 3pm when they close at 6pm wasn't enough time, which didn't make sense given that I wasn't asking for a same-day appointment--I was continuing a conversation to schedule ahead. What made this more frustrating was that I was trying to work within the availability they had already given me, but the expectations kept changing. While they did offer Sunday and recommended other salons (which I appreciate), that wasn't the point--I was trying to book within the options they initially provided. After this, I actually called again because I had rearranged my schedule for Sunday, hoping to still make it work. At that point, I was told Monday was the only option available. Unfortunately, that no longer worked for me due to work and moving to another city. I also spoke with the manager. While she was apologetic, it didn't feel like there was much effort to actually find a solution. She offered a new stylist that probably wouldn't be comfortable doing highlight but invited me for a Sunday appointment consultation to get me in. She acknowledged that scheduling and communication have been ongoing challenges there, which I appreciated the honesty around--but as a long-time client, that was also difficult to hear. This appointment was meaningful to me. It was intended to be my last visit before moving, and this is a salon I've trusted for so many important moments--engagement photos, weddings, graduations, and even just times I needed to feel like myself again. That's why it's especially disappointing to be ending on this note. I've always tried to be flexible and understanding over the years, but this experience felt like a continuation of inconsistent communication and shifting expectations, without much effort to meet me halfway. I understand that events and staffing can affect availability, but clearer communication and follow-through--especially with long-time clients--would go a long way. I'm genuinely upset.
