I asked them if they were bringing any solutions to the table, to which they said they would just watch and record their behavior. I gave them an entire list of things that work at home. Such as, addressing them with a calm tone, redirecting, giving them jobs, etc. They responded with "we can't do those because it doesn't fit our way we do things". I left with nothing accomplished and got an email 5 minutes later saying they were terminating care for my child, immediately. I'm so frustrated and sad that they didn't even want to try with them and it feels like they're saying they are more trouble than they're worth. I'm devastated that they didn't get to say goodbye to any teachers or friends and are now being completely uprooted, which might make behaviors worse. What do I tell my child when they ask why we can't go back? I still don't understand why on earth the school decide to terminate IMMEDIATELY on a Friday evening when schools are closed on the weekend. I feel like that is the ultimate show of disrespect to us. No wonder they have been on probation by the state. My child loved 3 of their teachers like family and I'm so crushed right now. They've been asking why they can't come back to see their friends and it is absolutely gut wrenching. I gave them many solutions and they ultimately told me they couldn't do their job properly. So, if your child has sensory issues and needs a little extra love, I would not recommend TLE. I just wish they would have just given them another shot and tried some of our solutions.

Publicly sharing my response to a "How was your adoption experience" survey from LCHS:…read more First let me say that we are thrilled to have adopted a dog, and happy that it was done via the LCHS. But this question is asking about the experience, and to be honest it wasn't great. I have a Loveland address, but it's roughly an hour to reach your facilities. With nobody answering the phone or emails, there was no way for me to put a hold on the dog we wanted, so we had to just take a chance and drive over. With a wait time - once somebody finally came to the door - of over an hour, that means we'd invested at least 3 hours in what we expected to be a waste of time. And I would add that this was not our first visit to LCHS. A previous visit had been completely for nothing. If you think of each aspect of the process as either having a Deterring effect or an Encouraging one, there's too much Deterrent here. I know COVID will be used as an excuse, but that's exactly what it is. People can find a way to get important things done. I also think the price tag is awfully steep, in comparison to equivalent facilities elsewhere. We adopted a puppy for $300 in Austin last year. Why is LCHS double? Deterrent! On a positive note, a lengthy paperwork application would have been an additional Deterrent, and I commend you for not having one; I strongly suggest that you keep it this way if the primary goal is to help put homeless animals into the homes of people who want them.

It melts my heart as her mom. What has been EXTRA for all of us has been getting to know the other families and Becca and Saul's sweet family in the community that they build. We've been to fall harvest festivals, a lantern walk, holiday parties, birthday parties and gained the most wonderful, wholesome, like-minded families as part of our main community now. They graciously helped me get the appropriate documents filled out and filed. They also helped me get proper clothing and a load of groceries. But for those people, I don't think I would have made it through it. I also want to thank City Counsel member, Andrea Sampson, for helping me find the right places to apply for the services for which I was eligible. The only thing missing is that there was NO HOUSING AVAILABLE during the 1.5 years when I needed it. When will the people of Loveland finally step up to the plate and help solve the homeless problem in Loveland???

We have had our little one at Primrose since they were four months old. And all of her teachers no…read morematter what classroom she was in no matter how old she was have been amazing. The owner Nikole has been present almost every single day at the school and takes true leadership and ownership of Primrose. Everyone at the school from The administration to the teachers to the extra staff have all been amazing! They are all very attentive and understanding to each individual child's needs.
