After completing what at the time was a 5-day intro course (now known as MT 1), I returned to the clinic empowered and excited. I have used the principles and science that I learned in the course ever since. I have explored many other avenues with regards to manual therapy including Maitland, McKenzie, Upledger, and Mulligan. Of course I have learned something from each of these schools of thought, but nothing has compared to the systematic and science based approach that is the heart of each Grimsby course I have completed. I am now on my second go around with some courses and will be finishing the COMT soon. My only regret is that I did not enroll in the residency program at the beginning of my career. I strongly encourage any PT who loves manual therapy and craves practicing at the top of their profession, to seriously consider completing a residency with the Ola Grimsby Institute. If this is not feasible, I also strongly recommend any of their courses, particularly MT 1 and all of the STEP courses. The only negative I have to say about the institute is that some of their instructors have a habit of being somewhat critical or negative about other continuing ed programs. This is unnecessary as the Grimsby program is so strong that it does not need to denigrate other programs to build itself up. This is the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

The curriculum and take home work was so helpful and I left feeling like I was ready to work on clients and increase my revenue. I like how the campus is a little bit spread out, and not all congested in one area. We've gone to places where the school is so congested and all of its buildings are pretty close together making it a little bit cluttered period but not displaced, it was very attractive, it was very clean, and the people that work there were so kind and helpful. One of the biggest frustrations about going to new places is not knowing offhand about parking situations, this place had a lot of parking available for a lot of cars and very convenient places to park as well. Definitely returning to Auburn Adventist Academy Chapel for services, pastor had a very good sermon and our hearts really deeply touched.

This is a limited review of Rigos' Washington Bar Review program. They offer other professional…read moreexam prep courses, but I only took the one. Taking the Bar exam is Just No Fun. Its stressful, miserable, and a sad way to spend a summer. However, I have a renewed appreciation for Rigos' program since I am taking Oregon's bar exam this summer and using the Competition's materials. By comparison Rigos has a far superior Bar Review course. Material is excellent, extremely well-tailored to the Washington exam and very managable. I entered the exam feeling relaxed and prepared, and I passed with no problems. Rigos uses all past bar exams to create frequency charts of the issues tested on the Bar and then teaches you precisely what you need to know to pass. Other Bar review programs (from my experience this summer) are not even comparatively worthy of your money or time. The materials are not tailored to the exam, learning of the materials is haphazard given their teaching structure, and you are generally just overwhelmed with resources that are entirely unnecessary. I love Rigos' course and I wish it were offered everywhere, but if you're stuck taking the bar in Washington, it is the VASTLY superior choice. Good Luck to you test takers.

I contacted Rigos several times about this and received no help. The bar exam is stressful enough without having to deal with outdated materials. Although I was not satisfied, their product was much better than Barbri. I would proceed with caution if you are taking the long distance course.

The salary, or…read moredaily rate of pay, the medical/dental/vision insurances are all the result of members volunteering many many hours a summer without pay. Non members, whether under contract, or as a substitute as I am now, are asked to also "pay dues" as all benefit directly from these long hours. Many may not recognize this fact, and, until you have spent time working with the negotiating team you will not understand or appreciate the representation and contract.

They made things right, I removed the complaint upon their request. Now that I'm ready to take my final, the passcode they provided doesn't work so I tried calling, email...and not one person has called me back. The email messages came back as undeliverable. There's only one telephone number. I can't tell if they're out of business, out for the day, week or whatever...no information whatsoever. I don't typically provide reviews but this is bad enough that I thought I should share. If you plan on taking an online course, steer clear of NW Holistic Health for they do not communicate.

This school is a paradox and I can't imagine being anywhere else. It's a seminary. So, if you are…read morelooking for a secular institution you won't find that here. What many who have embraced this place have found it to be, is a place for individuals who have been wounded by 'the Christian church' or their more fundamentalist upbringings but who are not necessarily wanting to abandon their faith. This place is by no means conservative, in fact it really does occupy the space right between the point of secular humanism and Christianity which is why you see some of the extreme reactions from both ends of the spectrum in the reviews.--conservative Christians who expected TSS to be a traditional Christian seminary are deeply uncomfortable and sometimes even enraged by its not being 'christian' enough, and then there are those who come to a Christian seminary who are not Christian and are deeply offended that professors engage their own Christian faith (which by the way is completely different for each of them: another thing some more conservative students have a hard time with. Understandable considering many of us are raised being taught one or another denomination is more accurate than the other) and ask students to do the same for themselves, mainly for the purpose of challenging students to deeply consider and define for themselves what they believe and why. For those who are deeply guarding their evangelical roots, this place will likely feel like a challenge to their beliefs, as professors discuss some of the origins of those beliefs, present alternative voices and perspectives, and ask students to deeply wrestle with how their beliefs have historically been used to oppress, control and turn away from marginalized communities. So, students who want this place to: 1. be like their particular conservative church growing up, 2. Or are not comfortable with being asked to wrestle with why they believe what they do, and/or 3. are expecting this place to only talk about faith from the perspective of a secular institution but not ask you to personally wrestle with or engage Christian theology as it relates to your life, then you might find yourself challenged here. But, this tends to be a place where students find that they can bring their anger and their questions and their dissatisfaction with God, the church, how Christians have traditionally acted out harm throughout history and in their own lives. This place requires counseling students to take a few theology, bible and spiritual formation classes but they are engaged in ways very different from conservative seminaries--inviting you to engage your body, your sexuality, the ways you've been silenced and have silenced others, the ways patriarchy and racism have informed our view of self, faith and others etc. This school is def a place for students who are clinging more tightly to a desire to live out their faith in a way that feels more congruent to the practice of love, than they are with their faith maintaining the particular boundaries or structure that they came to the school with. This school isn't perfect. None of them are. But more than any other institution I've been at, they seem to desire to grow and are constantly asking, listening and being changed because of their engagement with students. This is a quality that is so unique to this school. I have so much more to say but this is already way to long. To sum it all up. What it boils down to is, whether you are a Christian, humanist, or anything else, if you want to stay comfortable, or are clinging so tightly to your particular worldview that you cannot or do not want to be challenged than this might not be the place for you. However, if you want to ask hard questions, be challenged to look inward at yourself in a way that will be deeply uncomfortable, yet profoundly transformative in how you engage yourself and your future work with others, this may be a place worth checking out.
